Exciting news! πŸ™Œ We are proud to celebrate Daniel Pineda, recent graduate of South Johnston High School, who has been selected as a 2026 Golden LEAF Foundation Scholar! πŸŽ“

Daniel is among a select group of students chosen from a competitive pool of over 1,400 applicants statewide. This scholarship provides up to $14,000 in tuition assistance over four years, supporting hard-working students from rural North Carolina communities.

Daniel plans to attend UNC-Chapel Hill and intends to major in Business Administration. Congratulations Daniel. Your JCPS family is so proud of you! πŸŽ‰

JCPS and Johnston Community College staff will be available on Tuesday, June 16 from 11:00am-2:00pm at Archer Lodge Middle School to help recent graduates and families start or finish the FAFSA. You can also receive college application help. We'll have free pizza so you don't even have to worry about lunch! πŸ• Hablamos espaΓ±ol.

πŸ’Ό Exciting Opportunity Alert: The NC Department of Transportation and Envicor will be on-site to share immediate hiring opportunities! We’ll also have the US Army and NextGen on site to discuss options for after high school.
