The Great Lakes lighthouses were our inspiration today at Bradford Ecumenical Home, Inc. There are MANY lighthouse stamps, the 1995 stamp series was chosen for this project.
The Art Peeps used gel sticks and watercolor paints, skipping the need to sketch the lighthouse they used a heliograph technique instead to create the base shape.

A few weeks ago, someone asked me a simple question:
Do you have the lesson for your celery printing project?"

Honestly I hadn't planned to write one because the idea seemed so simple.

Then I realized that what people were really asking for wasn't the idea - they wanted the classroom-tested tips, options and little details that make the lesson run so smoothly.

So...I wrote it.
Wreaths & Blooms | CeleryPrinting Lesson for Older Adults is now available with two projects options, three paint loading methods, participant guides, wreath banners and lots of real classroom experience packed into 24 pages.

I hope it saves busy Activity Professionals a little planning time and helps their artists discover the beautiful things that can come from the most unexpected places.

I love how stories come out unexpectedly during class 🥰 I had no idea about the skating pond in Bradford where Zippo is now.

Inspired by the 2012 Cherry Blossom Centennial postage stamps. The Art Peeps of Bradford Ecumenical Home, Inc. created mixed media views of the blossoms hanging over the reflecting pool.
Stories were shared of visits to Washing DC, the spring festival and the smell of cherry blossoms floating on the air.

A group of butterflies is called a Kaleidoscope and the Art Peeps printed one for Pat Kempher today.
Butterfly Geography 🦋 at Guy and Mary Felt Manor today. Artists traced patterns onto presto foam, designed colorful wings and printed butterflies.
