Focusing on building a solid foundation of safety and handling along with some shooting games using fun targets.

It also satisfies BSIS and qualifying California CCW renewal or modification requirements for select California counties and 4 hours of elective guard card training if used as a BSIS renewal.

Required materials:
200 rounds.
Handgun (rentals available)
At least one pistol magazine.

Eye protection (regular eye glasses are fine.
Ear protection- must be rated as ear protection, not your normal bluetooth ear buds.

NEW CLASS DEBUT!
Basic Residential Security Training.
Free to military and law enforcement veterans.

If you've never worked RST and want to get into it, this is the class you want.

Mandatory Prerequisites:
✅️Must have an active CA guard card or have attended guard card training within the last 30 days.
✅️Must have a smart phone with WhatsApp pre-installed.
✅️Must have 1-year security, military, EMT, or law enforcement experience.
❎️Doesn't apply to military/law enforcement Reserves or National Guard.

Summary:
This course introduces the fundamentals of Residential Security Team (RST) operations, emphasizing professionalism, client service, appearance, legal considerations, communication, reporting, deliveries, media interactions, wildlife response, and chain of command.
Students learn how to work effectively around high-net-worth clients, avoid common contract-ending mistakes, and perform residential security duties with discretion, customer service, and situational awareness.
Can also be used to complete mandatory and elective guard card training hours if needed.

Casual attire mandatory.
Slacks or jeans with a button up collared shirt.
No t-shirts ❌️👕❌️
No shirts without collars.
No neck ties. Just a collared shirt.

Within the next few months, I'll probably start scheduling a Basic RST course.
This is designed specifically for those who have never worked RST and are looking to get into it.

A single day focused on breaking down the standard day to day operations and professionalism.

Intro price will probably be $50 to cover classroom costs.

Looking at possibly using the classroom at the San Leandro Rifle and Pistol range.

Police said the security guard remained at the scene after the shooting and cooperated with investigators.

Sacramento police said on Wednesday that after collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses investigators obtained an arrest warrant for voluntary manslaughter for the security guard.

Joseph Mills, 55, of Sacramento was arrested on the warrant, along with weapons-related charges.

He was booked into the Sacramento County Jail.

A security guard who fatally shot one burglary suspect and wounded another earlier this month has been arrested following an investigation, Sacramento police said.

“Our beloved security guard who gave his life protecting the children and community members of our masjid. A courageous man who put himself on the line for the safety of others, who even in his last moments did not stop protecting our community.”

One of the victims in Monday’s shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego is being remembered as a hero for his actions as the situation unfolded.
