Babysitting Training
Thursday, July 23, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Students will learn childhood stages, accident prevention, basic first aid, emergency recognition, and entrepreneurial skills through lecture, video, and interactive activities led by instructors from Epic Trainings. Ages 11-15.
Financial support for this training is provided by Kiwanis, as well as the Friends of the Library. Please register in person with one of our librarians or use our online calendar with the link below.

Looking for a cool experience? Stop by Farnsworth Middle School in Guilderland to check out their butterfly house, crafts, and face painting!

Farnsworth Middle School Butterfly Station is OPEN to the Public! 🦋
Join us starting Monday, July 13 through our Butterfly Release event on Friday, August 7!
🕐 Hours: Mostly 8:00–12:00pm, with special evening hours on Thursdays, 4:00–7:30pm (see attached chart for full schedule)
🧑‍🔬 Middle school student guides will walk you through the station, where you'll see butterflies at every stage of development — from egg to flight!
As you exit, don't miss:
📸 The traveling Pine Bush Perspectives photo exhibit
🎥 Scorching Success — a short documentary on how prescribed fire helps sustain our globally rare pine barrens and protect endangered species like the Karner Blue butterfly
