GAME DAY BIBS... WE LOVE THOSE and sure do show SLINGER PRIDE so let's FILL the student section with them tonight.

These bibs do run a bit large so we are happy to see size small is BACK. Stop at The Rookery and get your bibs for tonight's GAME! https://the-rookery-3.square.site/

It's HOCO Game Day!

Our hours are a bit shorter today due to the parade AND we just got a restock of bibs size SMALL.

If you shop online NOW through 2pm you can still pick up your order inside The Rookery until 3:30pm TODAY. https://the-rookery-3.square.site/

Our traditional Hootie Fest recap post feels a bit more surreal this year! 🎪

Our Slinger DECA and Student Council team worked so hard planning each and every detail of Hootie Fest, an “outdoor” community experience, over the past 11 months to be the best kick off event of the year!

This year, 💦💦💦 the pivot inside was unexpected, unplanned and executed from a full wet setup outside to inside, within 90 minutes! Phew!

That said! THANK YOU 🙌 to all the volunteers, Slinger District staff, DECA and STUCO students, Slinger maintenance staff, Hootie Fest Sponsors and Vendors, who pivoted, adjusted, helped set up and ran around like crazy, to still give our community a day filled with laughter, connections, reconnections, joy and Hootie Pride!

If you were there, THANK YOU! 😊

Your attendance, kind words, smiling faces, wristband, ticket and food purchases will help support two amazing student groups, Slinger DECA and StuCo all year long in so many ways. Words alone cannot express enough how much this day/event means to us. So again, THANK YOU!

With that…Slinger DECA and StuCo is off to start planning next year! See you all at Hootie Fest 2027! 🌽🎪🌽
