Hey, everybody this Friday, Sept. 28th, is the GRAND OPENING of the OWL GALLERY- it is our brand new art Gallery at SHS- we will be open from 5 till 10pm. Come and check it out, it turned out great!! I would love to see everybody, Chris (Mr Graz)

Thanks for clicking on to the Slinger HS. Art Gallery page. I am really excited about the gallery being built and finally some of our students getting some more recognition for being artists. I feel as though I have really been blessed with having so many great kids that have come through SHS. The gallery should be awesome. I am pumped! They are going to be installing the display area starting on August 6th. Your donation would be really appreciated, but at this time don't send any money yet. I want to wait until I get enough responses from alumni to have a nice plaque with all the names of the alumni donors representing a big range of graduation years. I just sent the facebook stuff out yesterday and got about 18 "likes". hopefully I will get a lot more and also some offers to donate (3 so far). When I think we have enough, I will contact you about where to send your donation. I sent out invites to everybody I could find on Facebook but many people I could not find. So if you know of any former art students let them know about the Art Gallery project. You could show them the "Slinger High School Art Gallery" page or else just give them my e-mail address: [email protected] It is really great to see pics of my former students and see what great things you have going on in your lives. I'll keep you posted about the progress of the alumni donations and also about the progress of the new gallery. Hello Slinger High School artist alumni, I am currently raising funds for the "Owl Gallery" which is to be installed this summer. I am really excited about it and it is going to look fantastic. I think it's going to be a special one of a kind place for art to be displayed. My plans are to showcase my current students and their best work. My long range plans are to host art shows that also include art work of student alumni and perhaps local artists. What I'm asking is would you like to help me with this? The total cost for the project is roughly about $15,000. Much of the funding has already come through from community organizations and local business owners. Those generous donors will be recognized in a beautiful laser engraved plaque that is surrounded by a plasma cut wrought iron owl. I would also like to include a plaque of artist alumni donors. The plaque will include the names and graduating years of former Slinger students. If you would like to donate either $25 or $50+ I would include your name on the plaque. Please email me if you are interested in donating. At this time I would like to see how much interest there is in this portion of the project. I anticipate if I get 15 to 20 pledges I will go ahead with the alumni portion and then contact you as to where to send your check.
