Sleepy Hollow Elementary PTC Our organization's success is achieved solely by the efforts from our volunteers. Welcome to the Sleepy Hollow Elementary School PTC website.

The mission of the PTC is to provide financial support and supplementary services to enhance the education of Sleepy Hollow Elementary School (SHES) students. The PTC receives financial support for its programs and special school projects through our annual fundraiser. Membership to the PTC is available to any parent with a child at Sleepy Hollow School. Sleepy Hollow Elementary School has been co

nsistently recognized within the school district for its outstanding parent involvement. We hope that you will take an active role in our volunteer programs and fundraisers so that we may continue to enrich our children's education.

Have you ever wanted to be more involved in your child’s classroom? Now is the perfect opportunity! 🎉
We are looking for Head Room Parents to help make this school year extra special for our students.

As a Head Room Parent, you’ll help:
🎨 Plan 3 classroom parties with games, crafts, snacks & prizes
🤝 Coordinate with the teacher and other classroom parents
📋 Organize donation sign-ups and supplies
🎉 Attend and help lead the classroom parties
🎁 Create a Gala Basket donation by gathering contributions from families for our SHES Gala auction

🐴💀 WELL, SLEEPY HOLLOW… WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY. 💀🐴

Week TWO is officially in the books!

And before we all disappear into the weekend, we have a few things to say…

Yes.

A FEW.

Because if you've been following along lately, you've probably noticed something about our posts:

🌸 THEY'RE LONG. 🌸

Like…

“I'm just going to skim this really quick…”

5 minutes later

“Wait… THERE'S STILL MORE?” 😂

Listen.

We have approximately 400 students, a million things happening, and a PTC that apparently has A LOT TO SAY.

So yes, sometimes our posts are a little lengthy.

But we like to think of them as:

📚 Educational
😂 Entertaining
🐴 Slightly unhinged
🌸 Occasionally punny
☕ Best enjoyed with coffee

And yes… we know we already shared the upcoming events in our last post.

BUT before anyone says:

“WHY ARE YOU TELLING US THIS AGAIN?!” 😂

We promise we're not trying to fill your Facebook feed with the same information until you surrender.

And since we're being honest…

Yes, we have a ChatGPT friend. 🤖😂

And yes…

Sometimes we ask our little AI buddy to help us make our posts funnier, punchier, or slightly less boring.

Because here's the thing:

We know our strengths.
We know school events.
We know fundraising.
We know volunteering.

We know how to organize approximately 47 things at once.

And apparently, we know how to give ChatGPT a VERY specific assignment. 😂

So if our posts are a little extra…

Blame the PTC.

Or blame the robot.

We're honestly not sure anymore. 🤖🐴

But underneath all the jokes, puns, emojis, and suspiciously long Facebook posts…

WE REALLY DO LOVE THIS SCHOOL. ❤️

And that's why we're always looking for more people to join us.

Because the PTC isn't just about meetings.

It's not just about fundraisers.

It's not just about planning events.

It's about helping make Sleepy Hollow a fun, connected, memorable place for our kids.

And YOU don't have to have a ton of time.

You don't have to attend every meeting.

You don't have to know how to do everything.

You don't even have to know what you're doing yet. 😂

We can work with that.

🐴💀 HAPPY WEDNESDAY, SLEEPY HOLLOW! 💀🐴

Otherwise known as…

THE HALF-WAY POINT.

We've officially made it through Monday.

We survived Tuesday.

And now we're standing on the glorious little hill known as:

🌟 WEDNESDAY. 🌟

The kids have been to school long enough to know where their classrooms are…

…but not long enough to remember where they put their water bottles. 😂

Backpacks are making it home.
Lunchboxes are mostly making it home.
Shoes are usually making it onto the correct feet.

And parents everywhere are starting to wonder:
"Was summer really only two weeks ago?" 😂

Meanwhile, our Headless Horseman is probably cruising through the halls like:
🐴💀
"You mean we're only halfway through the week?"

SAME, HORSEMAN.

SAME.

But while we're all counting down to Friday, there's something else we should be counting down to…

📅 THREE VERY IMPORTANT DATES! 📅

And we're not saying you need to put these in your calendar immediately…

…but we're also not saying you should risk forgetting them. 👀😂

🌸🐴 WELL, SLEEPY HOLLOW… WE MADE IT. 🐴🌸

FRIDAY.

THE FIRST FRIDAY OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.

And after 4 whole days of backpacks, bells, bus rides, lunchboxes, homework, new routines, new teachers, and approximately 847 questions about where someone's water bottle went...

WE HAVE ARRIVED. 😂👏

Let's check the Week 1 scoreboard:

🎒 Backpacks remembered: MOSTLY
👟 Shoes successfully located: QUESTIONABLE
💧 Water bottles brought home: WE'LL NEVER KNOW
🍎 Lunchboxes returned: EVENTUALLY

And let's be honest...

By Wednesday, everyone was saying:
"WE'VE GOT THIS!"

By Thursday:
"Okay... we're getting there."

And by Friday morning:
"JUST GET EVERYONE IN THE CAR." 😂

But here's the thing...
Look at what happened in just ONE WEEK. ❤️

Our hallways are filled with laughter again.

Classrooms are becoming communities.

Friendships are already blooming.

Teachers are learning all those little things that make each student unique.

And our kids?

They're already growing.
🌱 Growing in confidence.
🌱 Growing in kindness.
🌱 Growing in curiosity.
🌱 Growing in independence.
🌱 Growing in knowledge.

Because at Sleepy Hollow...

🌸 LEARNING IS IN FULL BLOOM! 🌸

So, Sleepy Hollow families, give yourselves a little round of applause. 👏

You survived the first week.
The backpacks are packed.
The routines are (mostly) established.
The kids know where their classrooms are.

This year, we're not just going back to school.
