💕Our Youth Against Cancer Club had a successful night at our Cugino’s Coin Drop Fundraiser to support the Breast Cancer Unit at Garnet Health. Thank you to our club members for volunteering their time on a Friday evening! Thank you to Maria Cabrera for always supporting our club and being so helpful! Thank you to our generous community for your donations and/or heartfelt handmade cards to uplift the patients’ spirits! We are happy to report that we earned $516 in donations, which will go directly to the Breast Cancer Unit at Garnet Health. We are so touched by the community’s generosity! It means so much to our club!

🎗️The MVHS Youth Against Cancer Toy Drive was a HUGE success! Donations for the pediatric unit at Garnet Health included stuffed animals, toys, games, crafts, reading books, coloring books, crayons, and so much more! Thank you to our amazing community for your generous offerings, especially local author, Stephanie Lock (photographed below), for donating a bunch of autographed books If Goldfish Were Bluebirds by Stephanie Lock 📖 ! 💛🎗️Yesterday we were honored with our 1st guest speaker of the school year, Megan Brooks (former MVHS Nurse). Megan shared her family’s story and how it has been impacted by childhood cancer. Her oldest son, Jack, MVES kindergartner, was diagnosed with brain and spine cancer before his first birthday. She spoke about his symptoms, tests, surgeries, treatments, and how their family navigates everyday life since Jack’s diagnosis. He is bright in spirit, resilient, smart, and outgoing. Their journey through cancer reveals the heart of true strength—a family bound by love, walking through unimaginable challenges with grace, courage, and unwavering hope. We are

🎗️Hi, all! Our MVHS Youth Against Cancer Club is excited to be teaming up with Torrisi’s to fundraise this holiday season for local cancer patients. We will be holding a wreath sale from now till November 6th. We are offering special bundle packages as well! All of the pricing information can be found on the 1st photo and an example of the decorated wreath can be found in the 2nd photo. Members will receive a flyer and order form at Thursday’s meeting. If interested, please either reach out to a club member or email Mrs. Natalizio at [email protected]. Pick-up and drop-off information will come at a later date. If you are unable to purchase a wreath, then can you please share this information💛?
