Larry Tilton has always been a giving person. He is a very good man from a very good family! My family has known his since we were kids. My oldest sister worked at Tilton's Dairy and I would ride my bike there regularly as a kid. I have so much respect for him as a person and I am proud to be his classmate. At our recent Class of 1979 45th High School Reunion, I asked Larry if he could perform for our class and he said he would be off work at 3 pm and had another scheduled gig that evening but would come by for about an hour or so. I scheduled the class photo at 3:30 pm that evening so he would be in it. He also agreed to performed for his appreciative classmates. Attached are some of the incredible photos of that special event. Larry, you are a special classmate and a wonderful person!!

We look forward to seeing our awesome Skowhegan Area High School Class of 1979 classmates at our 45th Class Reunion which will be on Saturday, July 20th at Bigelow Brewing Company between 1 pm and 5 pm. Our wonderful classmate Scott Leblanc and his band have agreed to perform for us between 2 and 4 pm. Bigelow Brewing will also provide more entertainment between 5 and 8 pm if anyone would like to stay late for that as well. We hope to have as many people as possible attend this year so please get the word out to as many classmates as possible and be sure to put this reunion on your calendar. We plan to schedule a class photo with as many classmates as possible at about 3:30 pm so please plan to be there then. Our 45th Reunion Committee this year is comprised of Susan Miller, Sharon Taylor, Alan Obert, and Leon Swain. We value any input you may wish to offer.

SAHS Class of 1979:

Save the Date!! Our 45th Class Reunion has been set for Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Bigelow Brewing Company at 473 Bigelow Hill Road, Skowhegan, Maine 04976. The event will likely start at 1 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. at closure. Additional information will be provided when available. Please save the date and let us know if you plan to attend. We will need a good estimated number of participants before the event.

Class of 1979 and all who attended Skowhegan Area High School:
The players and coaches of the 2022 River Hawk State Football Championship Team have, once again, earned a State Championship in high school football for the first time since our Senior Class of 1979 did in 1978!

Let's show them our appreciation and support by donating toward team jackets for each of these champions.

Regarding our upcoming reunion:

The Planning Committee suggested a wide time range of Noon to 8pm to accommodate as many classmates as possible to maximize attendance on August 3rd.

We have scheduled a photographer to be available from 3 to 5pm and would like to take a class photo at 4pm with everyone who attends.

Therefore, if your time is limited, we would like to have everyone attend between the hours of 3 to 5pm to see as many classmates as possible and to get everyone in the photo.

Please note that the planning committee will be at the reunion for the duration of the event (noon to 8pm). Also, Leon Swain will be hosting some FB live streams for those that can’t attend. Please look for his live streams so that you can participate from a distance!
