A public charter school is a school of choice that: costs nothing for tuition, must be open to students of all abilities (no admission requirements, special ed./needs) and is highly accountable.

CRCS learners have choice embedded throughout their day - choosing classes, choosing assignments, choosing when they eat and play. But, choice doesn’t mean ‘anything, anytime.’ It means learners make intentional decisions within clear boundaries.

Could your learner benefit from choices during the school day? Choice provides learners with flexibility, but with flexibility comes responsibility too.

Enrollment is open for this year, and next year! Reach out to learn more. CRCS is a free school of choice in Skowhegan and Cornville, ME for grades pre-K to 12.

Learners here help design their educational path, practice self-advocacy, and develop the skills needed to navigate a flexible learning environment. Educators guide, support, and challenge—while students take an active role in their growth.

This model isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. It’s designed for learners who are ready to engage, reflect, and take responsibility for their learning.
