What if your child’s school day was designed around who they are—not the grade they’re “supposed” to be in?
At Community Regional Charter School, we don’t organize elementary learners by traditional grade levels. Instead, learners are grouped based on where they are academically, what they’re ready for next, and what interests them.
For children who are still learning to read, the day includes dedicated math and literacy instruction alongside interdisciplinary seminars.
As children become readers who are learning from what they read, more of their day shifts into seminars and electives where academic skills are applied in meaningful ways.
And our seminars aren’t just “one more subject.”
🌎 Math happens there.
📚 Reading happens there.
✍️ Writing happens there.
🔬 Science happens there.
🏛️ Social studies happens there.
Learners might read to research a problem, use math to design a solution, write to communicate their thinking, and draw on science and social studies to understand the world—all within the same experience.
Because that’s how learning works outside of school. The world isn’t divided into 45-minute subjects. Neither is CRCS.
