From the very beginning, I wanted this group to belong to the students because I have always believed their voices have the power to change lives. Watching our students use those voices to create a culture where people feel safe, supported, and never alone has been one of the greatest privileges of my career.

A huge thank you to Jasmine Doyen and everyone who made Runway for a Reason possible. Your generosity means so much because it allows our students to continue breaking down stigma, supporting one another, and reminding people that asking for help is an act of courage.

When Elle Donoghue first came to me years ago with the idea for Your Mind Matters, neither of us could have imagined what it would become. What followed were countless hours spent dreaming, brainstorming, planning, and asking ourselves how we could create something that would truly make a difference. Elle’s compassion, courage, and belief in this mission continue to live on in every conversation, every act of kindness, and every student who reminds someone else that they are not alone.

To every student who has been part of Your Mind Matters, past and present: thank you. Thank you for believing that mental health matters enough to speak up, to listen, to share your stories, to check in on your friends, and to remind others that they are never alone. Because of you, more students and staff walk through our halls knowing it’s okay to ask for help, okay to be vulnerable, and okay to simply be human. That is a legacy that will live far beyond high school, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve built together.
