This year’s trappers education was extremely valuable. Warden Scott Thrasher taught us about bear snaring, Dan Armiger taught dirt sets and how to skin otter, muskrat and beaver. Our own student Fisher taught his peers how to set a 330-body gripping device and caught a beaver on school property. We processed the beaver and shared the lesson with the SAHS Anatomy class. Mallory Newton gifted SCTC Outdoor Leadership, traps and the students are excited about using their skills to continue this tradition.

Mosquito Mountain is a great local hike with some phenomenal views. The students made it to the summit in 45 minutes.
