WATCH AURORIS PERFORM LIVE AT STATE -- ON MAY 15

The Auroris Dance Company will be "virtually" performing at the Illinois High School Dance Festival once again! This is the 10th time Auroris will be featured at this prestigious festival. Auroris will be performing "Backlit" choreographed by senior captain, Kalliope Kobotis. This piece features: Alx Taylor, Anjani Padhiar, Diana Evangelista, Grace Antonesi, Hannah Seitz, Isabella Trujillo, Jaime Neuman, Kalliope Kobotis, Kayli Sarris, Myka Punzalan, Norah Vaughan, Olivia Hilby, & Zoe Lau. The Auroris Dance Company is under the direction of Deanna Sortino and assistant director, Zoe Hertz.

NORTH STUDENT WINS AMAZON FUTURE ENGINEER SCHOLARSHIP

Congratulations to Niles North student Hassam Uddin who just won the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship. Only 100 students nationwide earn this award; recipients intend to study computer science in college and receive a $40,000 scholarship.

Hassam has participated in Robotics all four years at North and has been enrolled in the highest level computer science courses, as well as performing at exceedingly high levels. He has made many worthwhile contributions to our computer science program like sitting as a student member on the Technology for School Improvement Committee and tutoring at The Point.
