National Louis University School Psychology Program

National Louis University School Psychology Program Our NASP-Approved program offers specialist-level (Ed.S.) and doctoral-level (Ed.D) training in evidence-based practices in school psychology.

Are you looking to make a difference with children, students, their families and their teachers? If so, then the NLU School Psychology program may be the one for you. For almost a half century, school psychologists have been struggling to be seen as more than the persons who "just test students" or who serve as "gatekeepers" for special education. Instead, the field has moved increasingly away fro

m "test and place" models to roles where school psychologists take responsibility for providing mental health services and provide academic and behavior consultation and intervention support. Our students learn evidence-based, functional assessment and intervention practices with an ecological and preventive/early intervention focus. The goal is to prepare our graduates to assume leadership roles in their district, not only as service providers, but as real school leaders.
