Hello and welcome! I have recently gotten many new page views and thought I would make a new post to introduce myself to any new viewers/followers. So, if you're new here let me tell you about me!

I have a son who is 19 and is in college in Iowa where he plays basketball. I also get to be bonus mom to 4 awesome little dudes age 5-13. My partner and I have 12 geckos (crested and leopard), 3 dogs, 2 turtles, 2 snakes, 2 bearded dragons and one cat. I love to read, listen to all kinds of music and attend concerts as often and I can. I started as a mother's helper at age 11 (30 years ago!!) and have extensive experience with children and babies from birth into the teen years! I've coached softball and baseball, been a camp counselor, helped with birthday parties, and much more. I love arts and crafts, going to the library, introducing littles to the wild world of books, riding bikes, taking exciting walks, exploring, checking out museums, and being part of my community. I strongly believe in "no screens before 2" and "rear-facing until at least 2", I follow AAP, WHO and safety regulations as close as I can and keep up to date on changes! Offering one on one or small group coaching for children ages 3-10 in softball/baseball and basketball! Super informal, fun and tailored to your child's age and specific needs. If you're interested in getting your child ready to compete at the next level but not ready to shell out tons of cash before you're sure they want to make the commitment, I can help! Also offering one on one assistance for children with special needs participating in mainstream activities. Since I have seen AT LEAST five people driving with unrestrained children this weekend, I thought it would be good to remind everyone what the laws are regarding Child Passenger Safety!

In the state of Illinois: rear facing until 2, but three is often better. Use the guidelines on your child's carseat or booster to determine when it is time to change/upgrade, based on height, weight AND age.

Here you will find a breakdown from IDOT (Illinois Department of Teansportation) on what's what in Illinois specifically and I will add a website to check your state's laws as well!
