Yesterday, our United FFA officers spent the day at the Wintergarden District Leadership Lab, learning new things, building connections, and making memories along the way!

Our Wintergarden 1st Vice President and Chapter President, Max, and Vice President, Lina, hosted a workshop. “Croc Your Way Into Leadership!” was a fun, hands-on activity that promoted premier leadership through teamwork building activities. Their experience in the workshop gave them tools that will help them navigate through critical thinking situations they may encounter during their years in FFA.

Leadership Lab was a great experience for all those that went and we too are excited to implement our newly acquired tools for a successful year!

United FFA at the New World Screwworm Informational Meeting!

Our United FFA members had the opportunity to attend the New World Screwworm (NWS) Informational Meeting, an important event focused on protecting South Texas from this emerging threat.

NWS remains a serious concern with the potential to impact livestock, pets, wildlife, and our local economy. Our members heard the latest updates from content experts, learned about preparedness and response efforts, and had the opportunity to ask questions and better understand what is being done to protect our region.

The program featured remarks from Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina, Senator Judith Zaffirini, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Commissioner Anna B. Galo, along with presentations from experts representing agencies leading NWS preparedness and response efforts.

We are especially proud that our students had the opportunity to network with fellow FFA members, community leaders, and agencies involved in protecting South Texas agriculture and communities.

💙💛 Experiences like these help our FFA members become informed agricultural leaders and better understand the issues affecting our communities.

We hope everyone had an amazing first day back and that you’re ready for all the opportunities the 2026–2027 school year has in store! Whether you’re a returning member or just beginning your journey in agricultural education, we’re excited to have you as part of the United FFA family.

We also want to give a special welcome to our new principal, Mr. Moreno! We’re especially excited to welcome him to our school family knowing that he is also an FFA alumnus! 🌾✨ We’re proud to have an FFA alum serving in our school community and look forward to all the ways his experience and leadership will continue to support our students and FFA chapter.

As we begin this new year, let’s put our FFA motto into action:
