Skiatook Public Schools

Skiatook Public Schools About Us The Skiatook School District is known for its excellence, pride and tradition. Skiatook is a family oriented community with over 15 local churches.

Its reputation is based on excellent curriculum, superb faculty and staff, award-winning programs, athletic and academic teams, and a community that supports the school system. Located just North of Tulsa, nestled in the Osage Hills, the Skiatook district has easy access from US 75 and State Highway 20, and the beautiful Skiatook Lake. Skiatook is one of the fastest growing communities in this par

t of the state. Several new housing developments are being developed in the community around the lake. As a result of this growth, many new business opportunities are coming to the area. Skiatook is also in an excellent position to take advantage of the several fine colleges and universities in the Tulsa area. Today Skiatook serves approximately 2700 students in the Skiatook school system. There are approximately 180 certified personnel and 110 support personnel employed in the district. Minority groups composed of Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics, and Oriental make up approximately 31% of our total enrollment. Sixty-one percent of the student body receives free and reduced lunches. The district consists of four building sites: 2 elementary, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. Skiatook’s Alternative Education Programs help students stay in school or return to school, giving them a chance to get back on track to graduate. The same curriculum offered in the traditional classroom is approached through innovative teaching techniques

Getting a text on your phone saying someone at one of our school sites is sending you a compliment? It has nothing to do with any of our school sites or services, nor is it a scam---it's an app for phones named Peek. Students (and others) put this app on their devices, the app asks them what school they attend, and it will send out a "compliment" to someone on their contact list that appears it is coming from one of our sites. Just delete the text and be on your way!

Bulldog Families,

We are excited for all of our students and staff to return to school this Thursday, August 13th!

The safety of your child is of the utmost importance to the Skiatook Public Schools District. The chart below describes the four Safety Notifications that may be utilized during the school year. If your child's school announces one of these Safety Notifications, the corresponding sign will be placed in the window of the front entrance of the school building. The chart below describes the expectations of teachers, students, and parents during each Safety Notification.

Again, we are excited for a new school year and look forward to seeing all of our students and Bulldog families!
