Are your organizations slowly beginning to reopen? Are you seeing glimpses of pre-pandemic life? Are you aching to gather as community?

Let me help!

As organizations are reopening and mandates are lifted, I am now scheduling events for this Summer and Fall.

While I am not doing any overnight events at this time, I do have 2 hour, 1/2 day and full day options available.

Some of the most popular experiences are Oils of Ancient Scripture, Praying through Collages and the Encounter experience.

Mother’s Day is an occasion that brings joy and difficulty to so many.

Thinking of all the women today. The biological, adopted, foster, and spiritual mothers. And those who nurture love and kindness in this world.

Thank you to all the women who mothered me over the years shaping me into the woman I today.

After years of discernment, dedication and hard work, my journey has led me to this milestone. Today I was officially welcomed into the Order of Deaconess and Home Missioner.

This day does not mark the end of my journey, only the beginning of a new one.

There are so many people who loved and encouraged me through this process; those who laid the foundation; those who planted the seeds and those who lovingly nurtured and believed in me - even when I didn’t believe in myself. I would not be here without each and every one of you.

Thank you doesn’t seem like enough, but it is all I have to offer.

Thank you ❤️

One year. It has been one year.

One year ago today, I was supposed to be getting ready for a gathering of precious women. I was supposed to be packing my bags and double checking my lists. I was supposed to be filled with emotions of excitement, curiously, wonder and nervousness.

But I was not. None of us were. It is amazing how quickly our lives can change.

This past year has been a challenge for everyone. We have survived the bad and sought out the good (and I believe there has been a lot of good despite the bad).

One year later we find our world changing again. We see hope on the horizon. People are getting vaccinated and numbers are going down. Glimpses of our old life are beginning to emerge as communities begin to gather, long awaited hugs are given and received without fear and guilt, and summer vacations are just a few weeks away.

But let’s be honest. Things will never be exactly the same as they were before. And I’m not so sure I want them to be. I have enjoyed the slower pace of daily life, the extra time with family, and actually getting to enjoy time in our home.

My heart is overjoyed at the ways creativity has flourished this past year. Creativity became our survival. Finding new ways to shift our perspectives and use the resources around us in ways we never before imagined.

So as we move forward, let us not forget the lessons and experiences of this past year. Let’s not take for granted the precious time with our family and friends, the slower pace of life and the ability to let go of our busyness and enjoy the sacred moments life has to offer. Let us continue to life to the fullest as we again enter a new season.

As we seek to recover from the events of this past year and people are longing to gather as a community, I am excited about creating ways we can safely come together.

With a few event modifications to meet Covid safety guidelines, I am now booking events for 2021 and 2022.

Feeling all the feels this Resurrection day!

Easter morning I had the blessing of preaching my first Easter sermon.

We were reminded that there is nothing we have done or can do to make Easter happen. We have done nothing to deserve such a gift.
Easter is not our story, it is God’s story. And yet we are who we are because of the Resurrection.

I was reminded of this yet again this afternoon when we discovered a patch of Bluebonnets growing in our yard.

We have tried unsuccessfully for over 12 years to grow Bluebonnets at our home. Last year, we were give some seeds and half-heartily scattered them in the yard. Not giving them another thought...until today. When we found a beautiful patch of Bluebonnets in our yard.

We did nothing to make these seeds grow. After years of frustration and failure, we had given up hope.

And now, on this Resurrection Day, we are once again reminded of Hope in New Life. Not because of what we did, but because of what God did.

The reminders of Resurrection, New Life and New Possibilities are all around us!

Hi Creatives!

I know I have been pretty silent lately. The COVID pandemic hit hard this past year. I've taken advantage of this time and used it to spend more quality time with my family.

However, as vaccines are administered, churches begin to slowly reopen and hope for a new normal is on the horizon, I wonder how comfortable people might be with small events later this year.

I will not resume overnight retreats at this time, but am hopeful about small (15 max) socially distanced 2 hour creative workshops.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Let me know in the comments.

(Please note I am not saying that I am ready to start booking events right now. I am optimistically looking at the future and will not schedule any events until I am personally comfortable with it.)

May we all have the courage to do justice!

May we all have the courage to do justice!

Welcome to ! On Monday, we'll celebrate the life and legacy of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. for advancing civil rights and social justice through non-violent protest.

May this prayer for the courage to do justice be an inspiration as we honor the memory of this great leader.

A Prayer "For Courage to Do Justice"

“O Lord, open my eyes that I may see the needs of others

Open my ears that I may hear their cries;
Open my heart so that they need not be without succor;
Let me not be afraid to defend the weak because of the anger of the strong,
Nor afraid to defend the poor because of the anger of the rich.
Show me where love and hope and faith are needed,
And use me to bring them to those places.
And so open my eyes and my ears
That I may this coming day be able to do some work of peace for thee.”

- Alan Paton, South Africa, United Methodist Hymnal #456
