🌺🌴 ALOHA from Sissonville Elementary! 🌴🌺

What a wonderful way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year! ❤️🖤 Our staff was ready to bring the tropical vibes for tonight’s Luau Open House, complete with leis, bright colors, and lots of smiling faces! 🌺🍍🌴

We loved getting to welcome our students and families back into the building, meet some new faces, and see so many familiar ones. We’re so excited for another year of learning, growing, and making memories together! 🦅📚

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight and helped make our Open House such a fun start to the year. We can’t wait to see our Eagles SOAR! ❤️🖤

📣 Important Bell Schedule Update for the 2026–2027 School Year ❤️🖤🦅

Sissonville Elementary families,

Due to changes in Kanawha County Schools’ transportation schedule, Sissonville Elementary will have a new daily bell schedule for the upcoming school year.

⏰ Morning Schedule
🦅 Doors Open: 6:45 a.m.
🍎 Students eating breakfast should arrive by 7:00 a.m.
🥣 Breakfast will continue to be grab-and-go, with students taking their breakfast to eat in their classrooms before instruction begins.
📢 Announcements: 7:15 a.m.
⏰ Tardy Bell: 7:15 a.m.

Students should be in their classrooms by 7:15 a.m. so instruction can begin promptly. Every minute of instructional time matters!

🚌 Afternoon Schedule
Dismissal Begins: 2:05 p.m.

Please take a moment to review the updated schedule and plan your morning routine accordingly. Your support helps ensure every Eagle starts the day ready to learn and has the best possible start to the school day.

Come meet your teacher, visit your classroom, and get excited for the year ahead! As you arrive, soak up the tropical vibes and be sure to grab a Hawaiian lei to help get everyone in the luau spirit. 🌴🌺

We can’t wait to welcome all of our new and returning Eagle families for an evening of smiles, excitement, and a warm Sissonville Elementary welcome.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our beloved cafeteria staff members.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their family, friends, and everyone whose lives they touched. We know many of our students and families knew them and were greeted with their kindness each day.
