Community Resource and Learning Center CRLC will also join the Burnett County Family Resource Center, Community Referral Agency and other family services.

CRLC will consist of a Kid Central Learning Center; which will be a collaboration of Siren’s Kid City, Webster’s Kid Country, the summer school age program Kid Camp, and Early Head Start Services. Bringing these agencies to one location will give families a sense of unity, having a learning center as well as a community resource center will create an atmosphere where families feel welcome to bring

their child for education and also share experiences as a family through community events held at the center.

Dean and I would like to announce that the Community Resource and Learning Center, along with Kid Central Early Learning Center in Siren will be under new ownership beginning September 29, 2023. The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin will take over and continue to provide services to all families in our community.

We want to thank all of the families, past and present, for trusting us with the most precious people in your lives. It has been a joy to care for the children of our community for the past 24 years. We want to emphasize that we did not make this decision lightly. We have been considering this for quite some time, and this opportunity presented itself. The timing is right, so we decided to move ahead to our next chapter. We will continue ownership and management of our Kiddie Campus (Grantsburg) location.

Thank you so much to those who have supported us, our program, and our journey through the years. We wish the new ownership much success, and will do all we can to make this a seamless transition for our families and our community.

Our food shelf in the main entrance is full today. Lots of canned goods with fresh produce: pineapple, leaf lettuce, cucumbers, apples, green peppers, broccoli. Don't forget our garden is growing in the back behind the wood fence. Help yourself!
