Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up program awarded $20,244 to 20 local nonprofits, including $2,000 to SOFTEC Education for a new technician training program that teaches skills in 3D printing and computer-aided design. Softec Education, Siren, provides affordable, accelerated workforce training that leads to good job placement and living wages. We are proud to support local workforce development, and we’re grateful to our members for their participation in Operation Round Up. Your generosity makes a difference to so many programs and families in our area. Operation Round Up grants are funded by members of Polk-Burnett who round their monthly electric bill up to the next even dollar amount. Grants are awarded quarterly to local nonprofits that improve our local quality of life. It is nice to see the Siren District stepping up and promoting alternative skills training options for future graduates.
It is a disservice though to many students who may be undecided in their career path to not support nor even include Local Opportunities available to all, such as the great Opportunities provided by SOFTEC Education, Inc located in Siren.
Without sharing all Opportunities available to these young men & women who are looking to enter into the future workforce, many local candidates are not made aware of the achievable 5-week training that can lead to Skilled Trade Employment with the ability to earn over $100k in the 1st year.

Successful graduates from Webster, Grantsburg, Luck, Frederic, Shell Lake, Turtle Lake High Schools & other counties throughout WI can share their stories of success.
Just ask them!
