The Sioux Falls Hapkido and Judo
Club, formerly known as Jae Ho Sim's Martial Arts Academy was founded by Master Jae Ho Sim. After 32 years of instructing he has passed the torch to his students who have now become the teachers. It is our mission to continue training in traditional martial arts style. The gym provides a fun and safe learning environment for all ages and fitness levels to come together and continue on this tradition.

🥋🔥 Judo for BJJ Seminar — Coming Early 2027!

We’re excited to announce that Prof. Steven Matias will be coming to Sioux City in early 2027 for a special Judo for BJJ seminar, featuring both Gi and No‑Gi sessions. This is a rare chance to learn from one of the most respected instructors in the country, a 3rd‑degree BJJ black belt, 4th‑degree Judo black belt, USA Judo Continental Coach, USJA National Coach, and Vice President of the United States Judo Association.

This seminar will be open to everyone: Judoka, Jujitsuka, Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsuka, wrestlers, MMA competitors, and anyone with an interest in improving their grappling game. All experience levels are welcome, from brand‑new beginners to seasoned competitors.

If enough juniors express interest, we will set up dedicated youth sessions so they can learn in a focused, age‑appropriate environment.

This is going to be one of the biggest training opportunities of 2027, don’t miss it! Siouxland American Judo & Jujitsu inside One Combat Academy here in Sioux City.
