Peace Lutheran Preschool & Pre-K

MWF PM Pre-K kiddos had fun making their name rockets! This is one of my favorite projects that touches on so many things! Of course there is so much fine motor going on, but we also have color recognition and patterns, math skills with having to count the letters in their names, letter recognition with practicing identifying the letters in their names and writing them starting with a capital letter and the rest lowercase! We also worked on language and vocabulary building with learning different space terms and also working on preposition words and spatial awareness when adding our rocket boosters "beneath" or "below" our rockets, adding the astronaut "on top" or "in" the moon, shape recognition with star stickers, circle planets, squares for the body of our rockets, rectangles for the boosters and then we learned that we could take one of our squares, turn it sideways to make a diamond and then cut the diamond in half making 2 triangles so we could add 1 triangle to the top of our rockets! They were amazed that they could have 3 shapes in 1! I just love the simple projects that pack so much learning and so many different skills into it--hands on learning at its best! 🚀🔠

Summer is quickly flying by and the school year will be here before we know it! We are getting so excited to see all the kiddos for our upcoming school year! There's still time to enroll your Kiddo for Preschool or Pre-K this fall! We have our Parent Info Night coming up this Monday, August 12th from 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Sanctuary at Peace! We will discuss what our school year looks like and I will answer any questions! This night is for the grown-ups only--an open house event will happen for the kiddos the last week of August, with more details to come!

Congratulations to our MWF AM and MWF PM Pre-K Graduating classes of 2023-2024! Off to Kindergarten/Junior Kindergarten (and a few back with us! 😊) they go! We are SO proud of them! 🥰🎓

What an amazing 2023-2024 Preschool & Pre-K school year we had with all our friends! Tomorrow marks Preschool Graduations and Friday will be Pre-K Graduations! We are blessed with the best! 💙❤️💛🖍️✂️📝📚🛝

Shout out post to our AMAZING maintenance guy, Jordan! Not only is he our lifesaver by coming to the rescue to fix/clean up our flooded bathroom when a toilet gets plugged and overflows 😅, shampoos our carpets for us if someone has an accident or gets sick 🤢 cleans our bathroom for us, offers to take care of our garbage, and tackles the endless amount of mini projects we randomly will throw at him with little to no advanced notice, while happily agreeing to make it happen🫣🙃😅 but his interactions with the kiddos when he stops in our room to do these things, is one of the best! The kiddos know him and are always so excited and happy to see him, have asked him to fix broken toys at their houses 😂 and just get excited to tell him what we are doing/learning about and he is absolutely great with them all! Today he offered to grab our baby dino eggs from the freezer down in the kitchen and bring them to us and then got down with them to show them what we were going to be doing and talk with them about dinosaurs! It's so nice to have such a great role model around for the kiddos as well--I can't begin to say all the great things about him and how blessed we are to have him, both taking care of things behind the scenes for Preschool and Pre-K to make sure our rooms are taken care of and things are in great working order for us, and for being such a friendly guy who genuinley enjoys what he does and doesn't mind stopping for a few to interact with the kiddos! So, if you see Jordan around the building/in our hallway, feel free to say hi--he is one of the nicest people we know! 🥰🥰
