Did you know cows are called ruminants, which means they have a stomach with four different parts. They swallow their food quickly, and later bring it back up to chew it again as "cud". A beef cow can move its jaw up to 40,000 times a day just by chewing its food!

Inclusive planting day brings Lifescape and volunteers together Groundworks Connect and Lifescape are hosting a planting day. Students from LifeScape’s Pathways to Life Specialty School worked side-by-side with volunteers to create a teaching garden.

At GroundWorks Connect, we are always striving to improve our program, activities, curriculum and content. We have developed an advisory team for our Agriculture in the Classroom and Teaching Garden programs. These advisory teams will consist of industry leaders, producers, educators, and nutrition and health professionals to guide curriculum development, while also helping us stay factual with information and industry vetted content.
