Day 2 & 3 of Directors Convention 2026 ✔️

More classes, more connections, and more opportunities to learn and grow! Days 2 and 3 were filled with new ideas, inspiration, and conversations with fellow Just For Kix coaches from across the nation. Every session brought something new that can be brought back to our program.

One of the highlights from Day 2 was celebrating a special milestone for Heather:
➜ Heather was recognized for 15 years of service as a Just For Kix Director. For the past fifteen years, she has poured countless hours into teaching, mentoring, encouraging, and supporting dancers both on and off the dance floor.

Her dedication goes far beyond choreography and classes. She has helped create a program where dancers can grow in confidence, build lifelong friendships, and find a place to belong. The impact she has made on so many dancers and families over the years is truly something special. Congratulations, Heather, on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for your leadership, passion, and unwavering commitment to our West Sioux Falls Just For Kix family. We are lucky to have you! 🤍

On Day 3, West Sioux Falls and Heather received a few more awards:
➜ Raising the Barre Award: A reflection of the way Heather and our program continually challenge ourselves to grow, improve, and provide the best possible experience for our dancers and families.
➜ Organized like a Boss Award: Celebrating outstanding organization, preparation, communication, and behind-the-scenes work that helps keep our program running smoothly all season long.

These recognitions are a testament to the passion and hard work that go into our program each and every day. While the awards are exciting, the greatest reward continues to be watching dancers grow, achieve their goals, and create lasting memories.

Directors Convention has been filled with learning, laughter, and inspiration, and we're excited to bring new ideas back to West Sioux Falls. Thank you to our dancers and families for being such an important part of our journey. We can't wait for another incredible season together! ✨ 🖤💛

Day 1 of Directors Convention 2026 ✔️

What an incredible way to kick off the annual Just For Kix Directors Convention in Brainerd, MN! Over the next few days our Director, Heather Summers, will attend classes, learn from inspiring speakers, and network with coaches from across the nation.

We are excited to celebrate some special recognitions we received last night at this year's convention:

➜ West Sioux Falls was recognized as a Top 25 Program, earning the #14 spot. This recognition reflects the heart of our program—the hard work of our dancers, the dedication of our families, and the support of our community. 🤍
➜ Heather was recognized as a Top 25 Director, earning the #18 spot. This honor is only possible because of the trust our families place in our program and the incredible dancers she has the privilege of leading each season. 🤍
➜ Heather was named AAA Hip Hop Coach of the Year for our Senior Hip Hop routine. A testament to the hard work, creativity, and countless hours invested by both our coaching staff and dancers throughout the year. 🤍

To every dancer who shows up ready to learn, every family who supports from the sidelines, and every staff member who pours their heart into this program—thank you. Your trust, commitment, and belief in West Sioux Falls Just For Kix make achievements like these possible.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a special dance family and can't wait to see what the 2026-2027 season brings. 🖤💛
