🍎🏫📚 Another great school year at Discovery Elementary has come to an end! Students worked hard, learned so much, and created some wonderful memories along the way. From exciting classroom activities to special events and friendships, this year was filled with growth, laughter, and success. 📚🖍️🎺 If your student was absent today or forgets something after dismissal, items will be placed on a table in the front entryway for pick up. We have asked teachers to label items with the student’s first and last name. You do not need to check in at the office to pick up items.

🍎🥪🥛 The SFSD’s FREE Summer Meal Program launches Thursday, May 28, and goes through Friday, August 7. The program is at six locations throughout Sioux Falls. Children ages 1-18 eat free, no paperwork, and no sign-up.
- Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 8:30 am.
- Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
*Please note that meals will not be served on Friday, July 3, 2026.

🎉👏 Congratulations, students!
👧🎶🍎 Classroom K03 had a jar full of fun, random activities. Whatever activity they pulled from the jar, they had to do. The activity they pulled was: sing to your school principal. So that’s exactly what they did! They put a huge smile on Mr. Fischer’s face as they sang to him. Round of applause to K03!
