Happy Earth Day everyone!

Our toddlers have been going to the Infant/Toddler lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays to explore with the Early Childhood students! The room is called the Little Wranglers Room in memory of Shelby Hohn who was an Early Childhood student and worked at the Scarbrough Center!

Our teachers, Childcare providers, are doing all of these things for your little ones too!!

Childcare providers are not “babysitters,” we are not babysitters at all
We plan curriculum.
We observe development.
We document milestones.
We teach emotional regulation.
We build language.
We encourage independence.
We create safe spaces for growth.
We are shaping the foundation long before kindergarten ever begins.
Care is part of the job.
Education is the heart of it.
Let’s start giving Early Childhood Educators the respect the profession deserves.

We had an awesome Artsy Thursday for Week of the Young Child! We did chalk art, canvas art, easel painting, dot art, and drew with markers on the light table! We also read fun books like "You Ain't Gonna Paint No More," "I Paint a Rainbow," "The World is a Rainbow," and "The Color Monster."

Work Together Wednesday was a busy day! The preschoolers learned a new word - Cooperation. They learned that working together as a team needs cooperation!

We also had the children bring their favorite book from home to share with friends!

What a fun day we had at the kickoff event with the Early Childhood students!

We're so excited to kick off the "Week of the Young Child" with our Early Childhood students and the wonderful children at the Scarbrough Center! 🎉 This annual event, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), highlights early learning, the educators, and our amazing community. Tasty Tuesday!!

Tasty Tuesday-Beach Day was a lot of fun! Activities throughout the center in all of the rooms!

It's Music Monday and we kicked off the week with a fun parent engagement activity at the Early Childhood Classrooms!
