d home school is our primary curriculum provider. On top of AOP as a curriculum provider, we use three other phenomenal curricula: Teaching Textbooks for math, Rosetta Stone for Spanish, and ACE for Kindergarten and lower level math and word building! Students in grades 4-12 are each given their own office space with a computer. Our younger students learn in a traditional fashion of phonics, flash cards, one-on-one teaching, and, of course, lots of fun. Starting part-time in 3rd grade, students begin the dynamic, computer-based schooling experience of Switched-On Schoolhouse from Alpha Omega Publications. We desire to set new standards in schooling, shaping the educational process in a way that embraces the genius of each child. We are producing students capable of transforming their surroundings, teaching themselves whatever task is necessary, and focusing their efforts in areas of strength.

A Prayer for Our Teachers

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the teachers You have called to serve our students. Thank You for the patience, wisdom, compassion, and love they bring into the classroom each day.

Give them strength when the days feel long, patience when challenges arise, and grace when they feel stretched thin. Remind them that the small moments matter—the encouraging word, the listening ear, the prayer whispered over a student, and the lesson taught with love.

Give our teachers wisdom to know when to challenge, when to encourage, and when simply to listen. Help them see each student not just as a learner, but as a child You created with unique gifts, purpose, and potential.

Protect their hearts from discouragement and fill them with renewed joy in the work You have entrusted to them. May their classrooms be places where students feel safe, known, valued, and encouraged—and where they can see the love of Christ through the people who teach them.

Bless their families, their health, their time, and their hearts. Give them rest when they need it and surround them with a community that supports and encourages them.

Above all, help our teachers keep their eyes on You. May everything they do point students toward Christ.

We entrust our teachers to You, Lord. Lead them, strengthen them, and use them mightily.

Amen. 🙏

💛 Serving Our Community, One Act at a Time 💛

Today, September 11, students in grades 5–12 stepped outside the classroom and into our community to serve!

Students spent time volunteering near the Tuthill Park area, picking up trash and helping care for one of our community’s shared spaces. 🌳🧤

We believe some of life’s most important lessons are learned through serving others. Opportunities like this teach our students that servanthood is about seeing a need, stepping in, and being willing to make a difference — even in the simple things.

Taking care of our parks and environment is also part of being good stewards of the community God has given us. Every piece of trash picked up and every helping hand contributed to making Sioux Falls a cleaner, more beautiful place for everyone.

We love seeing our students put their faith into action and discover that you’re never too young to make an impact. Thank you to our students and staff for serving our community so well!

🎒One week down!

What a joy it has been to see our Cornerstone students back in the halls and classrooms! The first week of school is always full of new beginnings—new routines, new friendships, new lessons, and plenty of moments to learn and grow. We've loved seeing students settle in, teachers build relationships, and our Cornerstone community come together once again.

But the best part? Knowing that behind every lesson and every interaction is an opportunity to point our students toward Christ.

✨Here's to a school year filled with growth, discovery, friendship, faith, and purpose. We are so thankful for our students, families, and dedicated teachers who make Cornerstone such a special place.

One week down, and we're excited for all God has in store for the year ahead!

We hope you enjoyed your first week of school! Here is a a prayer for the new school year.

Heavenly Father, as my child begins this new school year, I place them in Your hands.

🦶Guide their steps.
❤️Guard their hearts.
📖Give them wisdom when they face challenges.
💪Give them courage when they feel uncertain.
🤝Surround them with kind friends and caring teachers.
🌱Help them grow not only in knowledge, but in faith, character, and confidence.

Remind them that their worth is not found in grades, accomplishments, or the opinions of others, but in who You created them to be. Give me wisdom as a parent to know when to encourage, when to listen, and when to simply pray and trust You. Go before my child each day, Lord. Be their strength, their peace, and their guide.

I trust You with them. Amen. 🙏

Why do we do what we do?

Because we believe children are worth investing in. Not just their education. Not just their achievements. Not just their future.

✨ Their hearts.
✨ Their character.
✨ Their faith.
✨ Their lives.

Every morning, teachers walk into their classrooms knowing they have been entrusted with something incredibly important—the opportunity to influence a child's life during some of their most formative years.

So we teach. We encourage. We listen. We pray. We challenge. We celebrate the small victories. And when a student struggles, we don't simply ask, "How do we fix this?" We ask, "How can we come alongside them?"

Because behind every student is a story. A family. A unique personality. God-given gifts. Questions. Dreams. And a purpose that is still unfolding.

That's why Cornerstone is intentional about creating an environment where students are known personally and where Biblical truth isn't just taught—it's lived. We want our students to leave us with more than an education.

We want them to know who they are, whose they are, and that their lives have purpose. That's why we do what we do. Because every child matters. And what we pour into them today can impact who they become tomorrow.

🎒School Is Back In Session🎒

Today, our hallways were filled with laughter, the classrooms came to life, and students started another year of learning, growing, and discovering all God has in store for them! We're excited for a great year ahead.

🎒The first day of school is almost here.

In just a few short days, hallways will fill with laughter, classrooms will come to life, and students will begin another year of learning, growing, and discovering all God has in store for them.

For parents, the first day is about more than new backpacks and school supplies.

✨It's about knowing your child is walking into a place where they'll be encouraged.
✨A place where they'll be prayed for.

A place where they'll be challenged to grow—not only academically, but in their faith and character.

We believe every child deserves to be known, valued, and reminded each day that they are deeply loved by God. As the school year begins, there's still time to choose an education that invests in your child's heart as much as their mind.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of the Cornerstone family this year.
📚Enrollment is open, but the first day of school is quickly approaching!
