End of the Year Festivities!

Last week we got to enjoy fun at activities at Washington High School! All of our students got to walk to Washington were high school students hosted us with fun games and activities!

On our last day, we had our annual field day! A day full of fun, bouncy houses, face painting, arts and crafts, and so much more! Students had a great time spending the last day with their teachers and friends!

The year has come to an end!

As the 25-26 school year has come to an end, we took a moment at our end of the year assembly to celebrate some of our amazing accomplishments and recognize teachers that will not be with us next school year.

Our 5th grade students earn awards like Academic Excellence, Academic Achievement, All-Star Leadership, and Peer Mentor recognition. We also celebrated our EL students that graduated from EL services based on their spring WIDA score!

Lastly, we said goodbye to a few teachers to retired, are moving, or changed positions! We will miss them all!

At Anne Sullivan we are so proud of all the things we have accomplished this year! Our students worked hard every day to learn, grow, and make good choices!

🌟 Celebrating our EL students! 🌟

Every spring out EL students take the WIDA test to see how they are doing on their English language skills. Our students worked so hard and did amazing. We had so many students graduate from EL this spring which means they have fabulous skills in both their native language and English as a second language. We are so proud of all of them!

Our EL team got to take them bowling to celebrate. Thank you to our EL teachers for all of their hard work!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL TOMORROW!!

Tomorrow is our last day of school for the 2025-2026 school year! We have done so many amazing things this school year! The amount of learning and growing that we have seen with our students is AWESOME! We are so proud of how hard everyone has worked!

To celebrate, we will have our end of the school year field day! Lots of fun to be had by all!

2nd Grade Field Trip

This morning, our 2nd grade students got to enjoy some beautiful weather at Good Earth State Park. They had a great time outdoors learning about the environment and nature.

Today Mrs. Soukup, our gym teacher, got to celebrate the top runners of Anne Sullivan. These five boys broke some records running their pacer test. AMAZING!!

🌟🎉 Kuanyama Club Celebration! 🌟🎉

Here at Anne Sullivan, we have a variety of languages spoken by all of our students and families. We get to celebrate those languages with our language clubs that we have after school. Recently, our Kuanyama club had their celebration, ate some snacks, and did some traditional dancing! It was a great time, and we love seeing our students celebrate who they are!

Teacher Appreciation Week!

This week is teacher appreciation week. We would love to celebrate all of our amazing teachers here at Anne Sullivan. If you see a teacher, say thank you, have your student write a special note, or take a moment to make them feel special!

🌟 Anne Sullivan's 1st Annual Academic Success Parade!! 🌟

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students have completed their South Dakota State Testing and have done amazing! Students who made growth on their test from the previous year earned a silver medal. Students who got a 3 or a 4 on their test earned a gold medal.

Last week we had a parade through the school to celebrate all of our students!

Overall, we had 205 students earn medals for either gold or silver on either the Math or ELA test. We had 348 medals given out to students with their testing. This is AMAZING!!

We are so proud of our students and all of their hard work. We are also so thankful for all of our teachers and their hard work in preparing our students each and every day!

Washington High School Play!

Last week, our 3rd and 5th grade students got to walk to WHS to watch their production of "George's Marvelous Medicine". They had a great time with this interactive play. Thank you WHS for inviting us over.
