Big Warrior shoutout to Damien Deen for being named the Junior Kiwanian for the month of March. Damien spoke to the Kiwanis Club about his experiences in activities, especially Oral Interp. Damien’s future college is still up in the air, and is considering NYU, U of M, and others. Great job Damien!

Congrats to Warrior seniors Olivia Hulscher, Kennedy Baumberger, Estee Larsen & Rylee Grieme for being recognized by the Associated School Boards of South Dakota for the Academic Recognition Day. These students represent the top 1% of graduating seniors in South Dakota and will be honored during a Governor’s luncheon later this spring. Great job Warriors!

Congrats to WHS Senior Aluet Akot for being named as a finalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars program. Out of 107,000 applicants nationwide, Aluet was selected as one of 200 finalists. Congrats Aluet!

Congrats to Alana Carlson for representing Washington as the Junior Kiwanian of the month! Alana spoke about her involvement in show choir and the lasting memories and meaningful relationships formed. Next year Alana plans to study Clinical Psychology at the University of Minnesota or University of South Dakota. great job Alana!

The Junior Kiwanian for the month of January is Washington senior Dana Harpe! Today Dana did a great job speaking about her experiences in activities, in the classroom and her future plans. Next year Dana plans to attend the University of Sioux Falls and major in Pre-Med. Great job Dana!
