TODAY IS THE DAY 🙂🌹

01/30/2022

Happy day to you all. ☯️

Today we are finishing up on the series about our belief system. Over the past several days we have seen that our belief system is learned from those around us that we interact with, both good and bad. We determined that the system could be changed given that we were making choices that aligned with the beliefs we feel will get us to our goals.

Next, we need to immerse ourselves and bombard ourselves with the new beliefs. We need to aggressively seek out information that will support our new beliefs and help us embed them into our foundation. We can do this by reading books or blogs, listening to audio books or podcasts, anything that will reinforce this new belief.

We also need to look at our closest associations and what their belief systems are that influence us. If their beliefs don't align with you and your goals, then you need to spend less time with them. (Sidebar: You know, for many, many years I didn't really believe this to be true. I felt that I was not likely to be influenced by the behaviors and beliefs of my close associates, and they would not have any ill effect on me, but after some real hard consideration and undeniable facts, I have changed my mind and now feel as though this is completely valid). Find others that are like-minded and aligned with your beliefs and goals. Please choose wisely whom you spend your time with.

The last item we need to do in order to change our belief system is to ACT. In other words, do the thing you fear. This will help reinforce the fact that you can indeed do this, and you will prevail. "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway". Remember, small, smart choices become behaviors that become habits that compound over time to reach our goals.

I want to give a shout out to Darren Hardy for being an inspiration to this series, he has some powerful programs that can change your life. And thanks to you all for being here today, I hope you will leave some comments below and let me know some of your take aways, and I would be grateful if you have found some value here that you would like the post.

That's it for today, thanks again everyone, see you next time.

Take care and stay safe out there.

Good morning, everyone. What an incredible day it is today. I am so very thankful for being here with you, and I am incredibly humble that you are choosing to spend some of your precious and valuable time here with me. Thank you!

Previously, we were looking at our belief system and how it can limit us from getting to our goals. We discovered that behind every choice is a belief from our system, and that our choices will become behaviors that then become habits, and over time and consistency can help us succeed (or not) depending on those choices.

Now we need to deal with those beliefs that don't serve us anymore. They are holding us back, and we need to decide NOW to "draw a line in the sand" (as Darren Hardy says).

He continues on to suggest that we use the phrase: "I used to believe_________ was scary, now I'm getting better and better every day." You need to fill in the blank with whatever belief is not serving you. For example: I used to believe that making a video for YouTube™ or Facebook™ was scary, but I'm getting better and better every day. This starts to reshape that limiting belief into a belief that I am getting better and will overcome that fear. See how easy that is? You've got this, you can do this. Just take one belief at a time and change your self-talk every time you come across this belief. Do it every day, be consistent and you will start noticing a change.

Well, that's it for today. Next time we will explore the next step in the process of changing your belief system.

Take care everybody and be safe out there.

Hi everybody. I hope you are finding some joy in your life today. I always find joy in nature, whether it is a ray of sunshine, a bird singing, the smell of a beautiful flower, or just sitting in the quietness of nature.

Last time we were talking about changing our limiting beliefs so that we could change our lives. If our belief is one of hopelessness, helplessness, or worthlessness we need to change those beliefs and instill some new empowering ones. So how do we do this?

First, we need to identify the beliefs that need to be changed. In the book "The Compound Effect" by Darren Hardy, he points out that our lives are the accumulation of all the choices we make. And that everything in our life exists because we first made a choice about something. Each choice starts a behavior that over time becomes a habit. In essence, we make our choices, and then our choices make us (which are our goals/success).

We need to determine what beliefs do we need to get to our goals. Our beliefs about ourselves, about others, about the world, etc. And then secondly, we need to determine what beliefs are not serving those goals and those need to be uprooted and burned like weeds.

My suggestion is that you find some quiet time and get super focused on your goals, then list out what beliefs you need to have in order to get to your goals and then list out the limiting beliefs that will keep you from getting to those goals. Take some time and really dig deep on this. These beliefs are your foundation and will either hold you up or crumble underneath you.

That's all for today. Next time we can look at the next step to take if you want to change your belief system. Please leave a comment below if you want to discuss anything or have some great take aways from today, I appreciate your engagement.

See you next time, take care everybody and stay safe out there.

Hey everybody, I hope you are having a beautiful day. 🌹

Today, as I was watching a training video by Darren Hardy, I came to understand that my belief system is actually a skill set that I have developed over my lifetime.

You see, when we are born, we have absolutely no belief system whatsoever, and then by the age of 3 or 4 we start to match the belief systems of the adults that we are surrounded by. As we grow up our belief system is one of acceptance and not choice, it is a survival mechanism. Our system is molded by what we observe both consciously and unconsciously, good or bad.

Intelligence doesn't matter in your belief system. Your beliefs become your identity and your mask that you hide behind. Our limiting beliefs are continually and perpetually reinforced because we interpret information that comes into our senses and mold it to fit the way we want the world to be and not necessarily how the world really is, this is called belief confirmation.

The good news is that there is definitive research that shows a link between the mind and body. What you think and believe will affect how you behave and perform. This means that you can learn to reshape your beliefs and if you change your beliefs, you will change your life. I'm so excited to know this. I can change my limiting beliefs of worthlessness, helplessness and hopelessness into beliefs that I am worthy, I am capable, I can do this, I am enough, and I will prevail. I believe in me!

WOW, that is some powerful stuff. How about next time we look at some steps to change those limiting beliefs? Sound good?
OK then. Please leave a comment below if you have any questions or want to share your take aways from today. I always appreciate your thoughts.

Well, that's all for today. See you next time, take care and be safe out there.

As we look to be more productive, we must start with a baseline and in order to change you must understand yourself and what drives you.

Hello everybody. I hope you are having a great day.

Last time we were talking about creating more success in the pillars of your life. My pillars being Physical, Personal, and Professional. We talked about how we can develop daily rituals in each of the pillars to draw us closer to our goals.

I was reading "The Compound Effect" by Darren Hardy; and he was explaining how slow and steady wins the race, and if you apply small, smart choices each day into your life that you can reap huge rewards. These choices don't need to create disruption in your daily routine, just implement small incremental changes consistently and over time you will see massive results, thus creating the compound effect.

Here is an example he used:
Let's say you want to lose some weight, nothing earth shattering, just some extra pounds with no major fuss. So, you decide to cut your caloric intake by 125 calories each day and increase you step count by a couple thousand each day, less than a mile. By the end of the 31st month the change will be startling, you will have potentially lost 33 pounds.

If you do the math:
31 months = 940 days
940 days x 125 calories / day = 117,500 calories
117,500 calories / 3500 calories per pound =33.5 pounds.

And these were all very small, smart choices like using mustard instead of mayo on your sandwich, or choosing seltzer over soda, taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

One important thing to remember is that you can easily be tempted to give up and abandon your choices, so your commitment to stay on track must strong and unwavering, just make small doable choices that are easy, and I encourage you to find an accountability partner to help you.

Well, that's it for today, I hope you got some value out this and can start to make small, smart choices in your daily lives to start creating more success in the pillars of your life.

Take care and be safe out there, see you next time.

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great day..🤩

Today I was thinking about what it means to be successful. I think of success as being happy, fulfilled, making a difference or having an impact, being content, seeing and getting results. I think success can come from a feeling that we are in control of our lives and we are getting things done.

For me, there are 3 major pillars of life that I need to be successful in; Physical, Personal, and Professional. I believe if I can develop and implement rituals into each of these pillars, that it will have a profound effect on my ability to be successful in my life.

You might be asking, what is a ritual? How does it work? How can I develop one for myself? These are great questions. I think of a ritual as a set of routines or tasks that I perform daily to help me move in a consistant way toward my goal. For example: if I wanted to lose 10 pounds in one month, then I would develop a set of actions to take daily such as drink 32oz of water each day upon arising, chosing to take the stairs instead of the elevator at work, trying intermittent fasting, and so forth. Then as I take these daily actions I would evaluate their results and tweek my routine (by adding other or subtracting actions) as needed to reach my goal. It is also a good idea to have an accountability partner who will help you stay on course and encourage you to keep moving forward.

So as you determine your goals, develop and implement your rituals into your pillars you will feel more successful in your life and we all need a big dose of that these days, YES? Well, I hope this has given you some encouragement to at least look at the areas of your life where you would like to have more success and think of some daily actions you can take to move toward your goals.

That's all for today, take care and stay safe out there. See you next time...

With the New Year just around the corner, I encourage everyone to begin thinking about what you would like to accomplish this next year. Would you like to change your career, deepen your relationships, have more free time, read more books, start a new business, develop a new personal ritual to help you reach your health goals? No matter what you are dreaming of or want to accomplish you need to focus on your daily productivity and take consistant action in order to fulfill those dreams and aspirations.

One of the first steps to being more productive is to make a list of the items that are not complete or that you worry about in your life right now. These items can zap your energy, they nag at you and want to be resolved. It's fairly easy to do, just write every incomplete item down that comes to mind. Determine which items are within your control and which are not. The items that are not in your control, you need to just let them go and stop worrying about them. Then start working on or making a plan to get the items you can control resolved. Cross them off your list as you get them resolved so you can see your progress. It's important that you take the time to make the list TODAY and then determine a time limit to have them resolved. If you can get this list resolved by the end of the year, then you can enter the New Year 2022 with a clean slate and you just accomplished a major productivity win.

I am working on a 7 Day Jump Start Course to better productivity that I plan on releasing in the New Year. Stay tuned for updates about the course and its release date.

That's it for today, take care and stay safe out there.

This time of year can be fast paced, frantic and frustrating. If you feel like the world is closing in on you, take a moment to be still and take 4 or 5 deep breaths. Remember that you can do this and everything will be just fine, you've got this.
