Staff Spotlight of The Week!

Say hello to one of our VBC paraeducators, Brooklyn Boulware!

Brooklyn enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs and family. She plays volleyball with her friends once a week. She spends a lot of time with her nephew. When she has free time, she's usually watching a movie while doing word searches or sudoku’s. Brooklyn's favorite holiday is Christmas because she gets to spend time with her family. She enjoys baking when she has free time and the house to herself.

We appreciate all of Brooklyn's hard work and dedication to her students!

Staff Spotlight of The Week!

Say hello to Whitney Wanderscheid, our School Counselor!
This year marks her 10th year as a school counselor, and one of her favorite parts of her job is helping students develop the tools they need to become confident, capable, and lifelong problem-solvers. The kids will always be Ms. Wanderscheid's number one priority, and she's here to support them and help them succeed in whatever way she can!

Outside of school, you’ll usually find her spending time with her dog, Ella, training for her next running adventure, or working part-time at Scheels. She loves being active, reading a good book, and always manages to find ways to stay busy. She's so grateful to have a career that allows her to make a difference in kids’ lives every day!

Our elementary school held a fun contest for students to help choose a name for our new mascot. After many creative and exciting ideas were submitted, the winning name was Lucas! Students were thrilled to see their idea become the official name of our school mascot. Congrats to Abigail Buffalo Chief, she was the winner and at a close second is Hunter Leedom with Lenny the Lynx.

PTO meetings are back! 💙💛

We’re excited to restart our Loess Hills Elementary PTO meetings and would truly love to see more parents and families involved this year.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 13 at 4:00 PM in the Loess Hills Elementary Library.

Going forward, PTO meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM.

Whether you can attend every month, occasionally, or simply want to learn more about what PTO is doing, there is a place for you. We need parent voices, ideas, and support as we plan for the year ahead, and this is your PTO too.

Come join us on October 13. We’d love to have you at the table! 🐾💙💛
