MDTA was established in 2019 to provide regional access to low-cost training and jobs in a rapidly expanding market. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for Diesel Technicians will grow by 12% through 2024 – faster than the average for all occupations. And that’s where Midwest Diesel Tech Academy comes in. Our program is a Registered Apprenticeship with the U

.S. Department of Labor and approved for GI Bill funding. Students benefit from on-the-job training, and graduate with a Nationally Recognized Credential. MDTA’s 9-month program includes 14 class modules and 800 hours of paid internship at one of our dealerships in Sioux City, Council Bluffs, Des Moines, Norfolk or Lincoln. Upon successful graduation from the Academy, students can be hired full-time at one of our dealerships, and continue our 6,000-hour Registered Apprenticeship program.
