Lunar New Year Exploration!

Learning about other cultures in preschool is such a beautiful way to build empathy and curiosity early on. Since you work with young children, here are developmentally appropriate, hands-on ways to explore cultures in meaningful (not surface-level) ways.

Young children learn to:
• Respect differences
• Recognize similarities
• Develop empathy
• Reduce bias early
• Build language and social skills

Today our PreK class began their multi-day deep dive into the world of puppetry! We began by making sock puppets and developed a back story for each of our creations. We learned to work together as a class to create an overall adventure for all of our puppets to participate in. Lastly, we learned about the story of Pinocchio!
