Happy Saturday, August 9th The Christian Academy of Simpsonville! We are looking forward to seeing all of our 25/26 enrolled families at The Discovery Island Waterpark this evening! 5:45 ~ 7:45 pm.
ALSO - tomorrow morning please join us at The Methodist Church of Simpsonville for our worship service at 10:00 am. We will hold a Blessing of the Backpacks service and a Teacher Dedication service. All children from all schools are encouraged to bring their backpacks and we will pray over them and their school year as well as all of our teachers be it from public school, private school or our very own, CAS!! I hope to see your faces tomorrow morning AND this evening!!

Just a reminder that this coming Saturday, August 9th we have rented out the Discovery Island Waterpark for our annual Back to School Bash from 5:45 ~ 7:45! Admission is free for all families attending our program for the 25/26 school year!! Bring your family and come on out! FYI: There will be light refreshments at the concession stand but nothing substantial so be sure to feed your babies either before or plan to do so after!
Any packets that have not been picked up will be available at the waterpark for you to get.

Below is our calendar for the 2025 ~ 2026 school year. We are putting our annual Back to School packets together now and will have the following dates and times for you to drop by the school to pick up. The packets include the first newsletter of the year detailing all you need to know to get started, Meet the Teacher dates and times, Teacher assignments, a letter from our PAC committee, supply list for each age level and a parent handbook.
The pick up dates and times are:
July 14th from 10:30 - 12:30
July 17th from 10:30 - 12:30
July 28th from 10:30 - 12:30

*If you are unable to make any of the above dates, we will bring any packets left to the Back to School Bash at the Discovery Island Waterpark on Sat, Aug. 9th at 5:45 pm.

I trust you are all doing well and enjoying your summer thus far!
Many of the teachers and I are out of town on a teacher training retreat which we are enjoying immensely! 🏖️
I wanted to answer a couple of questions that I have been seeing……
🗓️- the 2025-2026 school is almost finished but the teachers and I need to review it one more big time. Below I am going to post some pertinent dates to get you going and within the next week, I will post the final draft of our calendar for the 25/26 school year.
☀️ - Summer camp info! The doors will open at 8:45 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of camp. The first day of each week (only for newbies each Tuesday) we will be in the breezeway of the main entrance to the school (Christian Life Center). There will be myself, my two office assistants and several related arts teachers in that area for you to check with as to where your child’s class is located and who their teachers are. The teachers will tell you from that point forward where pick up and drop off will be each day.
🥪- Every child will need a lunch. It must be a completely NUT FREE lunch. Also, if their food needs to be warm, please warm/cook it AT HOME and then send it in their lunchbox in a thermos to keep it warm. We will not have enough time to warm lunches for the number of students that we have in each class/school with only 4 microwaves. We will provide snack during our snack station time. Unless your child has a gluten allergy, do NOT send a substitute. You may send a water bottle but please LABEL everything with your child’s name.
☀️ - For summer camp, make sure your child is in clothes they can get dirty in! Also make sure they have on shoes they can run, jump and play in!
☀️- The kids will have daily recess and activities outside. You may want to apply sunscreen before they come to school.
☀️- We will draft summer camp tuition weekly from anyone set up on Tuition Express. If you are not using tuition express (our draft program), you must pay your tuition on each Tuesday by dismissal. Tuition rates for camp are listed in photos below.

2025 ~ 2026 Calendar Dates:

Aug. 9th - Back to School Bash at Discovery Island Waterpark - please make plans to be there. 5:45 ~ 7:45 pm

August 10th - Blessing of the Backpacks & Blessing of the Teachers service at The Methodist Church of Simpsonville - 10:00 am in the sanctuary

August 11th - Teacher’s Official Back to School Week

Aug. 14 & 15 - Meet the Teacher (primary grades will have MTT at 5:00 on Aug. 14th and PreK will be the morning of the 15th split into 2 times. Working on exact class schedules. TBD!

August 18th - 1st day for all 5 day students as well as MWF students
August 19th - 1st day for all T-Th students

Tentative Holidays & school closings:
Labor Day - Sept. 1st
Fall break - Oct. 10th & 13th (GCS is the 13th only fyi)
Thanksgiving break - Nov. 26, 27, 28 (dismissal at noon on 25th)
Christmas break - Dec. 19th - Jan. 5th (school resumes Jan. 6th)
MLK - no school Jan. 19th
President’s Day - no school Feb. 16th
Spring break - March 13th - March 20th
Easter break - April 3rd & April 6th
May 15th, 2026 - last day of school for the 25/26 school year and dismissal will be at noon for all.

Hopefully this helps you mark a few things down on your calendar for planning purposes!

She is going to speak with us on Developmental Milestones, Signs to Look out For, and Steps to Take if you have any concerns about your child's development.
This is an amazing opportunity and one that every parent should take advantage of!
YOU are your child’s #1 advocate so be informed!!! Please make plans to attend!
We will meet in the fellowship hall. I will have coffee and snacks so come. It is FREE and well worth an hour of your time.

CAS’s 2025 Summer Camp info is available! We are so excited to host 3 weeks of camp! Camp will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 ~ 1:00 pm.
Week 1 ~ June 10th, 11th & 12th
Week 2 ~ June 17th, 18th, 19th
Week 3 ~ June 24th, 25th, 26th

Children pack a nut free lunch each day along with a drink.

The registration fee is due with the paperwork in order to guarantee your slot.
Tuition is due each Tuesday morning.
If you are already in our Tuition Express draft program, we will automatically draft your registration fee if no payment accompanies the registration paperwork. We will also draft your account weekly for tuition unless you pay each Tuesday morning.

We were so incredibly excited and blessed to have Tanner Smith visit our school this past week Tanner is on Season 2 of Love on the Spectrum on Netflix and will be on Season 3 also! Tanner came to our school to help teach the children about autism and to raise awareness! 🧩 Our students and staff loved having him!!

We are excited to open our 25/26 school year enrollment up to the public tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 31st at 8:30 am. We will be at the sanctuary doors just off of Main St. under the awning.
We do have limited spots so it is on a first come, first serve basis but we hope to get everyone in that comes tomorrow morning.

I am Cindy Henderson and I am the Director of The Christian Academy of Simpsonville. We are located within Simpsonville Methodist Church in downtown Simpsonville, SC.

CAS offers a Little Learners classroom (for children under 2), a K2, K3 and K4 preschool program. We also offer a private school including a 5 year old kindergarten, a 1st grade and beginning in August of 2025, we are adding a 2nd grade!

Our registration opens to the public on Friday, January 31st at 8:30 am. Please note that we open to our currently enrolled and church members prior so we open to the public with limited spots.
