π΄π SLEEP MATTERS, BULLDOGS! ππ΄
Summer is a great time to relax and enjoy a break from school, but it's also important for middle school students to maintain healthy sleep habits.
Getting enough sleep helps students grow, recharge, improve focus, regulate emotions, strengthen their immune systems, and support overall mental and physical health. While summer schedules can be more flexible, keeping a consistent bedtime and wake-up time can help students feel their best.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends that children ages 13β18 get 8β10 hours of sleep each night.
π€ Tips for Better Summer Sleep:
π± Put screens away at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
π Get outside during the day and stay active.
ποΈ Keep a consistent sleep schedule, even during summer.
β Avoid caffeine late in the day.
π Read a book or listen to calming music before bed.
A well-rested Bulldog is a healthier, happier, and more successful Bulldog!

πββοΈβοΈ STAY ACTIVE THIS SUMMER, BULLDOGS! βοΈπββοΈ
Summer is the perfect time for our Bulldogs to rest, recharge, and have funβbut it's also important to stay active!
Regular physical activity helps middle school students build strength, improve mood, boost confidence, reduce stress, and maintain healthy habits that support success both in and out of the classroom. The good news? Exercise doesn't have to mean organized sports. Walking the dog, swimming, biking, hiking, playing basketball with friends, dancing, or even helping with yard work all count!
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that children and adolescents get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day. A mix of aerobic activity, muscle strengthening, and bone-strengthening activities can help students stay healthy and energized throughout the summer.
π Summer Activity Ideas:
π΄ Ride a bike around the neighborhood
π Shoot hoops with friends
π₯Ύ Explore a local trail
π Swim at a pool, lake, or beach
β½ Join a summer sports camp
π Take the family dog for a walk
π³ Visit a local park
