This size has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s large enough to make a statement on the wall while still fitting beautifully into any space. The square canvas gives such a clean, modern look and really lets each pet’s personality shine.

Personal update from your friendly neighborhood Simpsonville Artist 🎨😂

At this point, I’m starting to think I might quite literally be the most clumsy person out there.

Since I started painting, I’ve somehow managed to collect an impressive list of life events and injuries including HG, gestational diabetes, a fractured eye socket, a total hysterectomy, and now my latest adventure... a possible crush injury to my foot. 🤦‍♀️

Last Sunday, something heavy was dropped on my foot, and I had X-rays done the following day. Nothing showed up, but I was told that sometimes fractures don’t always appear right away, so we’ll be repeating the X-rays next Friday to see if anything was missed.

The funny thing is that one day it feels almost completely fine, and the next day it reminds me it exists with a vengeance. Tonight happens to be one of those days. 😅

The good news? Life goes on. I’ve continued painting, working, and carrying on as usual (probably more than I should). So while I wait for answers, I’ve got plenty of portraits and paintings in the works and I can’t wait to share them with you all.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be over here trying not to injure myself in any new and creative ways. 🎨❤️

There are some portraits that stay with you long after the paint dries, and Scout’s is one of them.

I had the opportunity to display this custom portrait at Golden Day at BridgeWay Station in Simpsonville. It was incredible to see so many people stop to admire Scout’s portrait and share stories about the special dogs that have touched their own lives.

As an artist, moments like these remind me why I love creating custom pet portraits. Every painting represents a unique bond, a collection of memories, and a story worth preserving.

This portrait was created in loving memory of Scout, a dog who brought joy to so many people.

I was honored to create this custom portrait after being contacted by Good Dogs of Greenville. It was especially meaningful to have the opportunity to display the finished piece at Golden Day at BridgeWay Station in Simpsonville, where so many dog lovers gathered to celebrate their pets and the special place they hold in our lives.

My goal with every portrait is to capture the personality, love, and memories that make each pet so special to the people who cherish them. I hope this painting serves as a beautiful reminder of the happiness Scout brought to his family and community.

I had the opportunity to set up at Golden Day at BridgeWay Station, thanks to Good Dogs of Greenville inviting me to be part of the event.

It has actually been quite a while since I’ve participated in an event as an artist, and I truly enjoyed getting back out into the community, meeting people, and sharing my artwork. Between painting, family life, and running Greenville Gala, finding the time for art events hasn’t been as easy as it use to be.

To be completely honest, I didn’t take many photos throughout the day because I was exhausted! Earlier that same day, Greenville Gala was setting up a large wedding, so by the time the event started, I was definitely running on limited energy. Thankfully, I had a wonderful helper with me who kept an eye on my booth, helped visitors, and made sure I stayed awake and smiling throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Good Dogs of Greenville for allowing me to be part of such a great event. It was a pleasure spending the day surrounded by fellow dog lovers, local businesses, and so many friendly faces.

Sometimes the best days are the busy ones. ❤️
