Last week, our students participated in this year’s first Covey Club Thursday!

Take a peek at our Playdough Club and Sports Trading Card Club in action! We love giving students opportunities to explore interests outside of academics, try something new, and build relationships with others throughout our school community.

Mrs. Wicker’s and Mrs. Teal’s classes joined together for their very first Accountability Buddy class meeting!

Students spent time getting to know their buddies, making connections, and having a little fun together along the way. We loved seeing new friendships begin and can’t wait to get together again!

Congratulations to all of our newest Junior Beta Club inductees!

Tuesday night, we had the privilege of celebrating an incredible group of students as they were officially inducted into the Mauldin Elementary Junior Beta Club.

The pillars of National Beta — achievement, character, leadership, and service — connect so beautifully with our commitment to growing leaders at Mauldin Elementary. We are so proud of these students for the way they represent our school and for the leadership they continue to show both inside and outside the classroom.

We can’t wait to see all that they accomplish as members of National Beta!

Friday fun at MES!

Our kiddos celebrated awesome behavior at Behavior Bash by showing off their crazy socks and coolest shades!

And Max made a special appearance at our Volunteer Breakfast to bring a little extra school spirit to the morning!

Crazy socks, sunglasses, school spirit, and lots of smiles — that’s a pretty great Friday at MES!

🎬✨ Leadership in Action! ✨🎬

Today, our student leaders hosted our first Student Leadership Role Job Fair! Students had the opportunity to explore different leadership roles, talk with students who have previously served in those positions, ask questions, and learn more before deciding which roles they’d like to apply for.

We loved seeing our students learning from one another, asking thoughtful questions, and taking ownership of their leadership journey! 💙💛 huge thank you too Mrs. Smith and Miss Fritz for putting this together for our students!

We can’t wait to see our newest student leaders step into their roles!

Celebrating Our Teacher of the Year!

This morning, we were so proud to celebrate Caroline Whitaker, our Teacher of the Year, at the Greenville County Schools Teacher of the Year Breakfast! 💙💛

Our school family knows just how much Ms. Whitaker pours into her students each and every day. She is an incredibly hard worker, loves our school and our kids wholeheartedly, and makes a difference in so many lives.

We are so lucky to have her representing our school, and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this honor! Congratulations, Ms. Whitaker! 🎉 We are SO proud of you!

Hi Mighty Eagle Family! My name is Baylee Parker, and I am so excited to be joining you all as a Kindergarten Assistant! My husband and I have called Greenville home for the past two years. You can usually find me shopping, spending time on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, or hanging out with my sweet goldendoodle! A fun fact about me is that I love all things pink, and I’m also a cheer coach! I can’t wait to meet everyone and pour into these sweet kinders! Let’s have the most fun year!

My name is Angela Queen, and I will be joining MES as an ESOL teacher. This will be my first time in elementary school, but I am a veteran teacher who has previously taught English Literature at the college and high school levels, and ESOL at the middle and high school levels. I live here in Mauldin with my husband and daughter, who is a high school sophomore. I also have four grown stepchildren and ten grandchildren. I love everything to do with reading, language, and culture! I'm excited to embark on a new adventure with younger students.

Hi! I'm Sarah Hudson and I will be joining Mauldin Elementary as one of the Speech-Language Pathologists. This is my 12th year as an SLP and my 8th year with Greenville County School District. A little about me - I’m married and have four children—Casey (14), Carter (12), Charlotte (3), and Lucy (7 weeks). If you're looking for me after school or on the weekends, chances are, we're either at a swim meet, gymnastics meet, or playing on the playground! I’m passionate about helping children communicate confidently and effectively, and I’m excited to continue working with families to help kids reach their full potential.
