How high should your four-year-old be able to count? When do children typically recognize letters? What if potty training isn’t clicking yet?
Even with endless information online, parenting can feel confusing.
Legacy Academy for Children’s copyrighted curriculum is designed with age-appropriate milestones to help identify learning needs and support each child’s development, based on their unique abilities.
Have questions? We’re here to help. Give us a call to learn more.

There’s no better way to cool down on a hot summer day than water play!
At each Legacy Academy, children enjoy plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun: from water play areas to covered patios and age-appropriate playgrounds. It’s always about learning at Legacy; and when it comes to outdoor play, we make sure they’re staying cool, staying active, and making friends and joyful summer memories.

Noticing a shift in your baby’s sleep as the days grow longer?
Sleep regressions are a normal part of development, and daylight peeking around the nursery can make it harder for little ones to stick to their usual routine.
If you’ve already darkened the room and your baby is still struggling, check the temperature. A cool, dark environment can make a big difference in helping them settle back into healthy sleep patterns.
And remember, you’re not alone. Your baby’s teachers at Legacy Academy have lots of experience and are always happy to share what works.

Today our Summer Camp students took to the upcountry history museum to check out their Looney Tunes Exhibit!

Students learned about the history of the hilarious characters and even had the opportunity to create their own stories with the characters!

That summer sun feels amazing, but it’s worth remembering: many skin cancers are linked to sun exposure from decades earlier.
The burns we get as kids and teens, our skin remembers.
That doesn’t mean we avoid the outdoors (and at Legacy Academy, we are outside every day!) It does means we enjoy it wisely.
• Apply (and reapply!) sunscreen
• Wear hats and protective clothing
• Take shade breaks during peak hours
• Model sun safety for your children so they grow up with healthy habits.

One of the sweetest parts of summer camp? Sticky fingers, big smiles, and a chance to slow down and enjoy fresh fruits that help fuel growing bodies and introduce flavors they’ll love for life.

90% of Brain Development happens by age 5. At birth the human brain is in an amazingly unfinished state. The hardware is present but the connections are yet to be made. Experiences become the neural circuitry that lays the foundation for lifelong learning. At Legacy Academy for Children, our copyrighted curriculum is developed specifically for helping little minds grow. Even in our infant room, songs, finger play and caring interaction are designed to facilitate the formation of neural connections. Call us today to learn more.
