Prioritize yourself first to have more energy throughout the day. I love taking time for myself early in the morning before everyone’s awake. Do you find yourself waking up thinking, "I have so much to do today" or "What do I have to do today?" How do you feel when those thoughts come up? They aren't exactly thoughts that get you excited and energized for the day ahead.

Now imagine instead waking up thinking, "I am so grateful to be alive!" or "I'm filled with deep gratitude for waking up this morning." How do those thoughts feel to you? They are so much more empowering and energizing, and being in an empowered and energized state is exactly how I want to start every day. Waking up with a deep feeling of gratitude for everybody and everything in your life will set your day off in a beautiful way. In fact, by having your first thought be one of gratitude you will make feeling grateful a new daily habit.

Many of my clients tell me how much they really want to be more present in their lives - with their kids, in their relationships, and even at work. By eliminating distractions in your life, you can be more present in your life.

A very common distraction is our phone, and, more specifically, the notifications on our phone. When our phones notify us that we have a message, our attention immediately shifts away from the present moment. What you can do instead is take back control of your phone by turning off any notifications when you receive a new text, email, WhatsApp message or message from any other app you may have. It's easy to turn off the notifications, and your messages will be there when you're ready to see them and take action on them. Then you will be more present in your life.
