🐄🌲 Ruby Valley Livestock & Forestry Competition! 🌲🐄

On Tuesday, we competed in the Ruby Valley Livestock and Forestry Competition, and what an incredible day it was! Even though the 4:00 a.m. wake-up call wasn’t exactly our favorite part 😴, it was definitely worth it. We had a blast competing together, making memories, and learning so much along the way!

We are so proud of everyone who competed and all the hard work they put in. We had many personal bests and some incredible individual accomplishments! 💪🏼🏆

⭐ Individual Highlights & Personal Bests ⭐

Austin Mangold scored an impressive 46/50 on market lambs!

Ava Sauke scored 47/50 on market hogs!

Dakota Hystad earned a perfect score on her market hogs! 🎯

Joslyn Deshaw earned a perfect score on target rams, along with personal bests in market hogs and bred heifers!

Grace Eastlick earned two perfect scores in market lambs and bred heifers, plus a personal best of 48/50 on market hogs!

Makenzi South earned a perfect score on market hogs and a personal best of 48/50 in breeding does!

Shyanne Herman earned a perfect score on market lambs and a personal best of 43/50 on targhee rams!

Kiley Kitch earned a perfect score on bred heifers and a personal best of 48/50 on market lambs!

We couldn’t be more proud of the effort, teamwork, and dedication everyone showed! 💙💛 These competitions are such a great opportunity to challenge ourselves, learn new skills, and grow together.

FFA competition season is officially in full swing, and we are SO excited for what’s ahead! We can’t wait for more competitions, more learning, more personal bests, and lots more memories together!

On May 7, the Simms FFA Chapter held its annual banquet at the Sun River Valley Fellowship Hall. We had a wonderful turnout and enjoyed celebrating another successful year with our members, families, and supporters.

The evening included a delicious dinner with lots of great food, along with games such as co****le, cards, and other board games that everyone enjoyed throughout the night. It was a fun evening filled with laughter, memories, and time spent together as a chapter.

During the banquet, we officially approved our new chapter officers and recognized our retiring officers with plaques for their dedication and service to Simms FFA. There were smiles, laughter, and even a few tears as we said goodbye to our seniors and our chapter reporter.

We also recognized members with awards for their hard work, leadership, and accomplishments throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who attended and continues to support Simms FFA and agricultural education. 💙💛

💙 Simms FFA Giving Back💙

One of the volunteer opportunities Simms FFA members participated in at State Convention was Meals of Hope. Chapters from across Montana packed meals to take back and distribute within their local communities to those in need.

Simms FFA was proud to partner with the Sun River Valley Food Bank to share these meals and support families in our area.

We are incredibly grateful our students had the opportunity to give back and make a positive impact in their community. 🌾✨

🌟 Simms FFA at State Convention 2026! 🌟

From March 31 through April 4, Simms FFA members attended the Montana State FFA Convention. It was a busy and rewarding week filled with competitions, leadership workshops, community service, and even keeping up with schoolwork along the way! 💙💛

A special highlight of the week—Makailey Petronek proudly represented Simms FFA by singing the National Anthem during the Second General Session, and did an amazing job! 🎤👏

Forestry
Team placed 16th overall

Team placed 51st overall

🧪 Ag Science Fair

Kyndal Becker – 🥈 2nd Place, Animal Systems

Parliamentary Procedure Team
Competed well as a team and showed great improvement from their previous contest 👏

Throughout the week, students balanced a full schedule—competing, attending leadership workshops, completing community service, and making sure they took time to stay caught up on their homework. On Friday, members enjoyed the convention dance for some well-deserved fun after long days, and attended The Station for their state meal. 🎉
