TK students have been immersed in hands-on learning about plant and insect life cycles. Students planted green bean seeds, watered them, observed their growth, and learned about plant parts and plant needs. They observed caterpillars as they ate, grew, developed chrysalises, and emerged as butterflies. They took a trip to Underwood Farm to learn more about plants, pick strawberries and visit the animals. Students presented their learning to their families at open house. Students released the butterflies back to nature and took home their green bean plants.
