As we head into Military Appreciation Night this week…. 🇺🇸

A Sight To Remember

Cpl. Katelynne Eber, a UH-1Y Venom helicopter crew chief with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, scans the horizon during a Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance drill in Okinawa, while deployed with the Unit Deployment Program.

Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance drills are conducted to increase proficiency and lethality throughout a squadron.

The UDP was initiated in 1977 to reduce the number of unaccompanied tours and improve unit continuity. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Justin J. Marty)
