🎃 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 👻
Our Trunk or Treat is going to be so much fun, but we need more volunteers to make it happen!
There are lots of ways to help, and you don’t have to give up your whole evening. We’re looking for volunteers to help with:
🧡 Setup before the event
🖤 Event security & keeping things running smoothly
💜 Cleanup at the end of the night
Volunteers can sign up for shifts, which means you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the Trunk or Treat fun with your family!
This event takes a whole community to pull off, and even an hour of your time makes a BIG difference. Whether you can help before, during, or after the event, we’d love to have you!

👉 Ready to help? Sign up here:

🎃 WE NEED YOUR TRUNK! 🚗
It’s time to get creative! Decorate your car, truck, or van and help make our Trunk or Treat one of the best nights of the year!
We’d love to have at least one decorated trunk from every classroom. Go all out with a decorating kit from Amazon, get creative with a DIY idea, or keep it simple. We just want YOU to join the fun!

Ready to participate? The link to sign up is in our bio
And yes, there will be a little friendly competition!
Everyone attending Trunk or Treat will get to vote for their favorite decorated trunk.

🥇 The top three trunks will win a FREE 2026–27 Big Springs yearbook!
🎉 The #1 voted trunk will also win a party for their classroom!

Know a local small business that would love to participate? Send them our way! The more trunks we have, the more fun the night will be!
Grab your trunk, get creative, and let’s make it a night to remember!

🎨 Reflections 2026–2027: Call for Entries!

Dear Big Springs Families,

It’s time to get creative! 🎨 The Big Springs PTA is excited to announce the 2026–2027 Reflections Art Program, with this year’s theme: “What My Culture Means to Me.”

Students are invited to submit original artwork in one or more of six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Students may enter multiple categories, but NEW THIS YEAR: each student is limited to ONE entry per category.

📅 Entry Deadline: September 30, 2026

To enter, students must complete the official paper entry form (attached) and submit their artwork according to the requirements for their category. A NEW online parent entry form is also required this year and is available here: https://forms.gle/zyApvuabX8CdMHvh7

The official entry packet includes important category-specific requirements, including artist statements, file formats, and other submission guidelines.

Judging at the school and local council levels will take place in October, and students whose entries advance will be notified.

🎉 All entries will be featured at the Big Springs Reflections Art Show in the Spring of 2027. Top entries may also be honored at the Simi Valley PTA Council Awards in Fall 2026 and the Ventura County District Awards in Winter 2027.

For resources and more information, email [email protected].

We can’t wait to see how our Big Springs artists interpret this year’s theme! 🌎🎨✨
