Tonight’s New Parent Orientation is from 5:30-6:30pm in the Sinaloa Middle School Gym! Apologies for the wrong time in an earlier post!
Any new Saber parents and families who are looking to learn about Sinaloa’s amazing programs and expectations are welcomed to join us as we kick off the new school year.
SVPD will also be there to do a special presentation on E-Bike Safety.

Mock Trial Auditions are THIS FRIDAY, 5/29, after school in the Reagan Room from 2:45-3:45pm!
If you are a current 6th or 7th grade student at Sinaloa who is interested in learning about the law or flexing your acting skills, stop by Ms. Royal’s room in D-16 to pick up your audition materials! You’ll need to memorize and perform a short paragraph.
Mock trial is an activity where students act out a courtroom trial. Students take on different roles like attorneys, witnesses, clerks and bailiffs. They read a case, prepare arguments, question witnesses, and present evidence just like in a real court case. It is part acting, part debate, and part problem-solving. Every Spring, our team gets to go to the Ventura County Courthouse to compete again more than 10 other middle schools in the county! Many Sinaloa students have continued on to do Mock Trial in high school and even at the college level!
Our Mock Trial team is part of a 7th period Communications class here at Sinaloa. Secure your spot in the class by coming to auditions!

SVUSD schools will be closed for the remainder of the week. This includes Sinaloa Middle School. There will be no school Thursday, 5/21 or Friday, 5/22 due to the impact the Sandy Fire is having on a lot of people in our community. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and support during this time, and we encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of one another.
We miss you oh so much Sabers! We are expecting to see you after Memorial Day weekend on Tuesday, May 26th. Stay safe!

With so many SVUSD students, staff, and families still impacted by evacuation orders from the Sandy Fire, there will be NO SCHOOL again tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20th. This is for ALL Simi Valley schools, including Sinaloa Middle School.
Please continue to stay safe Sabers! We miss you and can’t wait to greet you back to campus soon!

Stay home and stay safe tomorrow, Tuesday, 5/19, Sabers!
ALL SVUSD schools will be closed tomorrow, May 19th due to the Sandy Fire that is affecting Simi Valley. This includes Sinaloa Middle School.
All students, faculty and staff need to stay home and stay safe during this natural disaster. Please be safe and adhere to any evacuation orders that come from SVPD or VCFD.
