Petes limey customs

On our way out to Illinois we stopped at William Cooke's projects in New Mexico .we had stopped in this town when we drove out 2 yrs ago but this time it had more interest..we missed Brandi and momma cooke but got to see motel and dealership.....very cool

On way back from Gloucester and warwickshire railway steam day in the 55 westy we got taken on a very long route thru all kinds of country lanes up and down steep hills but eventually the gps took us back to the a roads .believe this is the a40 outside Oxford where Jeremny Clarkson owns the pub,him of top gear and the pub is featured in the show Clarkson farm season 4...Trevor being a big fan of both shows we had to stop in and get a pint as the car needed a break along with the driver who's clutch leg was killing him from the 55s heavy clutch.....
A very happy Trevor after a great day at the railway........perfect way to break the trip and have a pee....rest of way was much easier as we went thru Oxford and joined m4 and m25 back to billericay ....we made it home before dark at 10pm

Lovely day out

Went to the county fair and tractor pull in Carlinville ,lots of rolling coal and amazing show ..best part to me was the antique racers not fast but ever so entertaining.

As we drove to Illinois we went thru Arizona ad stopped for lunch at seligman.small town making a connection to the mother road and cars movies...Will have to check it out on another road trip...moggy wasn't so surprising but the rover 80 outside the convenience store was a rare sight....

So Friday morning in had to weld a new muffler on as the the tailpipe was hanging .bit of a rush as we are driving to southern illinoison sunday early.with that done some starting problems and the starter had to replaced on Saturday afternoon. No problems till then but what you gonna do ......posting this from gallop new mexico....so no other problems yet.....

Thought I'd posted up pictures from Enfield Pageant of motoring .got early start picking up Steve and off round M25 to Enfield. Got there and they bacon eggs and sausages and sauce came out ,Trevor did the frying before we took off to the auto jumble and found a few bargains .good time and bumped into some old friends...the austin a90 was almost same as mine but had beige interior unlike my two tone green and beige....lovely fella owned it and we shared experiences

Morris Minor just got my moggy on the road in simi valley ca ,was the spare parts car but turned out to be better than my initial purchase primer to cover up graffiti on door and not get attention from local gangs...life in LA...

Day tripping ....to sarfend...or Southend on sea...
Every time I visit the homeland I visit the seaside as it has so many memories....it is the estuary of the Thames so kinda isn't really the seaside but I've always loved it as a kid in sun rain or winter....this time rode was out but coming in as we went down on the miss and took photos ,by the time we'd gone across the road to get a 99at the ice cream store and crossed back over to a bench where we were was under water and filling quickly lifting the boats off the mud and floating in water.....fantastic drive home thru Leigh on sea.westy got us home for some fish and chips...
