...In Loving Memory of Peter Bannon...
5 days ago Peter Bannon passed away. This man was the definition of a gentleman. He was kind and funny. Extremely talented and knowledgeable . Gracious and always willing to help no matter how mundane the task. He was a dedicated husband to our CFO Donna Gilbert and the heartache of his passing cannot be expressed adequately in words. He will be missed greatly. Peter was a tough act to follow in so many ways. We will miss you.

Over the past year, we have suffered a huge loss in the field of community preparedness -- our dear friends, Bill Hopkins and Linda Pruett.

Bill Hopkins presence in community preparedness activism was a template in how to make things happen. His tenacity and steadfastness along with selfless dedication brought profound change to the SFV and LA County. His legacy has given a level of inspiration to continue the work he started. Although he is a tough act to follow, he has given us the tools to level up the service to our communities.

Linda Pruett was a cornerstone of leadership in the citizen emergency response and preparedness community for over 30 years. She was the biggest cheerleader for others and the money engine that drove so many other committees.
Linda’s ability to gather people and resources for the greater good will not be easily duplicated. She did the job of 6 people well with frequency.
Having known her as a student, colleague and friend she will never be forgotten. Soteria will continue to impact lives in honor of her memory.

Learn first aid & CPR for pets and how to protect and save them in the event of a disaster.

Registration ends August 9th. This is a nation wide class on zoom, we mail you supplies.

Class Dates: Monday, August 23 , 2021 and Wednesday, August 25, 2021 (2-day class)
Time: 6:30 PM to 9 PM (PST)

PET Disaster & First Aid – Blended This Soteria Specialty Workshop focuses on instruction about how to protect your pets and save them in the event of a disaster.

ARC Responding to Emergencies (RTE) -- Blended Course.

This American Red Cross Responding to Emergencies: Comprehensive Adult and Pediatric First aid/CPR/AED course will provide you knowledge to react and care in a medical crisis. Have you ever completed a first aid/CPR class and wished you had gotten just a bit more information?
