SILVERTON SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION, Nov 7, 2023:

Two seats on the school board, currently belonging to Paul Joyce and Charles Schmalz, are up for re-election this November 7th, 2023. These are two year terms. If you are interested in running, you may pick up a petition from Jane Edwards in the front office of the school beginning on August 9th, 2023. Petitions are due to the San Juan County Clerk on September 1st by 4 p.m., and must be notarized. This deadline is firm.

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
-Registered voter of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months
-Never convicted of a sexual offense against a child
-Satisfies petition or write-in candidate requirements
-Resident of the school district
