🥋 It’s Never Too Late to Start.

A little Grand Opening throwback—and one worth sharing.

Last weekend, our adult students stepped up for board breaking. Many came into it thinking, “I don't think I can do this.”

But they stepped forward anyway.

Martial arts has no age limit. It takes courage to start, dedication to keep going, and the mindset to believe in what you're capable of.

Sometimes the biggest thing you have to break through is your own doubt.

🥋 Grand Opening Celebration Recap! 🎉

One of the highlights of our Grand Opening celebration was watching our young students step up and take on the challenge of board breaking alongside Sensei Dan, Master Ducati, Shihan Frank Le and Shifu Lu Wang.

It was amazing to see so many of our students and their families come out, participate, and celebrate with us. The excitement, encouragement, and smiles made it a day we won’t soon forget!

Most importantly, we want to say THANK YOU to all of the families who have trusted us to be a part of their children's martial arts journey.

Teaching martial arts is about so much more than learning techniques. It’s about helping students build confidence, discipline, focus, perseverance, and character—and we’re honored to have the opportunity to help them grow.

Thank you for trusting us, supporting your children, and becoming part of our dojo family.

We’re just getting started. 🥋

🥋 Grand Opening Celebration — A Day of Learning & Fun! 🎉

Yesterday was a fantastic day at the dojo!

We had the opportunity to welcome instructors from other schools who joined us to work with our students and share their knowledge of the Japanese Bo staff.

For our students, it was a great opportunity to learn from another instructor, experience a different teaching style, and add something new to their training.
There was plenty of learning, plenty of laughter, and a whole lot of fun on the mat!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out, shared their knowledge, and helped make our Grand Opening celebration so special.

And the celebration continues today! 🎉

We have more fun activities planned, along with a special visit from Shihan Frank Ley, our 9th-degree black belt, and 34th generation Shaolin Monk Lu Wang. This is another incredible opportunity for our students and community to learn, experience, and celebrate together.

🥋 Grand Opening Celebration Continues — This Friday & Saturday! 🎉

We’re excited to welcome some of the instructors who will be joining us this weekend as we continue celebrating the grand opening of our dojo!

This is a wonderful opportunity to come by, meet the instructors, ask questions, learn more about our dojo and our approach to Kenpo Karate, and get to know some of the people who make our martial arts community so special.

Whether you're completely new to martial arts, have trained before, or simply want to stop in and see what we're all about, everyone is welcome!

As this series progresses, each wrist lock reinforces the importance of timing, leverage, and body positioning. Small adjustments in movement can create new opportunities for control.

Mastery comes through understanding the principles behind the technique—not simply memorizing the movement.
