Take a peek at this fantastic Field Day at Silver Ridge last week!

Our Eagles had an amazing time on a sunny day filled with laughter, teamwork, and fun activities, including parachute games, water relays, crab-walk games, and so much more!

A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Kuske for all of her hard work planning and organizing this wonderful event. We are also incredibly grateful to our volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly and created such a positive experience for our students.

Today in Mrs. Schrubb's and Mrs. McKinley's classes, our students transformed into surgeons and stepped into their very own "operating rooms" for an exciting hands-on learning experience!

Dressed in gowns, gloves, masks, and even using pencils shaped like medicine vials, each doctor worked in a "sterile" operating room complete with their own clipboard and patient medical charts. Students performed a variety of surgeries, including kidney, skin, and stomach surgeries, by solving math equations and word problems tied to each patient case. Working collaboratively with partners and teams, our young doctors put both their math and science skills to the test as they completed medical paperwork, solved problems, and successfully moved from one medical station to the next.

What a fun and engaging way to bring learning to life while challenging students to think like real medical professionals!

Last week, our Safety Patrol students enjoyed a well-deserved celebration at Ocean5 in Gig Harbor! Students spent the day bowling, playing arcade games, and competing in laser tag as a reward for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year.

Ocean5 graciously opened its venue for this private event. It made our students feel incredibly special by displaying a personalized welcome message, "Welcome Silver Ridge Elementary," on the TVs throughout the building. Their warm hospitality helped make the day unforgettable!

Our Safety Patrol students have spent the year helping students and families cross our crosswalks safely before and after school, demonstrating responsibility and leadership in both rain and sunshine. We are so grateful for our Safety Patrol team and their dedication to serving others this year. Thank you for all you have done to help make Silver Ridge a safe place for everyone!
